    I am sorry ABC but this is such misrepresentation of how Diwali is celebrated in Australia or anywhere across the world. This is very western view of what Diwali is, but there are many more people that celebrate it in its true sense and not just another reason to get drunk - got enough of them outside Diwali. By showing only kids that feel 'embarrased' or choose Darby day over celebrating Diwali at home and 'breaking traditions' - you are just normalising and encouraging migrant communities to feel inferior about their cultures. Assimilating in Australian culture does not equal giving up your own culture.
