Absolutely, I had that same exact experience while singing a song that I "altered" (pun intended) to make it about accepting DiD as part of your life.
It ended up turning into a duet between me, the host, and my protector whom I gave the nickname of Dawn Jillinger due to the method she chose to reveal herself to me which seems to have stuck with her.
The song we altered was the song "This is me" from the soundtrack for The Greatest Showman movie. We changed that song to This is We.
I can very clearly hear when I switch from me, the host, to Dawn Jillinger and back again as we're preforming the duet and it seems like we take different lines from the song as our lines to sing in the duet.
I have also been one to rollplay future conversations on various topics with various people in my head by having that discussion in advance while "thinking aloud" and when I started talking about the DiD experience having seen everything in hindsight and talking about how I got here and how I reached my discovery point, as I rollplayed that conversation while preparing to bring this issue up with my therapist, I felt Dawn Jillinger take over to do the explaining for me and that's when she told me she gave me the physical strength to fight back against my father when I was a teenager to the point where he and I might as well have been in the same weight class even though he was twice my size.
These were things I wasn't planning on bringing up with my therapist because I wasn't even aware that all this time it was her giving me that unreal physical strength. She has quite literally saved my life over and over again.

@@ratnaastari3428 There's a British woman with DID who's memory holder paints depictions of multiple children being locked in cages, r*ped, tortured, surrounded by adults, abortions, etc. Her memory holder won't talk about what she remembers, but I absolutely believe she was an infant to child victim of a trafficking ring or outright cult. DID forms most commonly in child victims of sexual assault, but it has to happen before the child forms a concrete personality, so it often begins in infancy.

Nightcore Nerd I honestly believe that most of the people with DID were inside trafficking rings and the abortion part is something I read quite a lot in forums where some people tried to open up about ‚most common‘ things that happened to children in order to develop DID.
TRIGGER WARNING: the next bit I’m writing is going to be about extreme abuse so please stop reading NOW if that could trigger you in any way! I do not want to hurt anyone with this.
There was a woman in a German forum and one of her alters was so fucking pissed that ‚normal people‘ can’t even fathom what horrors are going on in this world every day, that she decided to tell a whole story on what happened to her (she said she can’t promise that 100% of it is true tho since sections of her brain can make things up to replace the unbearable truth but she’ll think it’s the actual truth).
And oh boy I felt like I needed therapy myself after reading that, everything inside of my body felt like I need to burn it to get that information out of my body again.
I’m not strong enough to tell you the entire story as I remember it in detail, I start shaking like crazy trying to do that but I’ll tell you that she talked about her first abortion at the age of 11 or sharing a cage with five other children. She talked about having a child at almost 13, no hospital or anything, no care, nothing, and being forced to watch it get raped. Also about marriages and honeymoon gangbangs, sex contests with punishments... my god there was a lot and I think I now wanna stop thinking about it...
Before she wrote about that I knew that horrible child abuse was going on but I had no idea HOW insane it was.
But while talking about the abusers, the types of people they were, she made me realize that probably every single one of us knows at least one of them and that made me go crazy for a while.

Sadly a lot of people on TH-cam don’t feel the need to protect their children like this. Jade doesn’t want us to know the names of the children, but so many parents show every part of their children’s lives online. If someone tried to go after a lot of children of big youtubers, they’d know more than enough to earn their trust. Jade truly is a fantastic caretaker for those littles

What if the host agrees? At the end of the day it's still their body and brain. It may be a separate personality but it is still the host in all reality. I totally support her and her thought process. In her case I think it would be difficult to target her while in a childlike mindset because her other personalities would certainly attempt to take over and protect but its smart to keep that part of her psyche from any more trauma like negative or abusive commentary

Years ago schools used to write names of the children on the back of their schoolbags/backpack for every child to know which one is theirs as many had the same kind. They stopped doing that after a person tried to get a child walking home from school into a car by shouting their name and saying "Hi (name) I'm a friend of your parents, I am picking you up today". The child immediately thought the person must be telling the truth because they know their name.
Names hold so much more power than we think about. I completely understand what Jade is saying in this video.

... Saying "like" and "um" does not mean someone is unintelligent. It has to deal with the brain lacking certain knowledge of words in the time that you're thinking of them. People think that "like" and "um" are the only words that show "unintelligence" when in actuality, "so" is another word we tend to use and repeating phrases while we think are all things that are normal in oral language.
People really need to study the scientific aspects of language or linguistics because Good Lord. It's very difficult to explain these things but, I will gladly help since it's a part of my major 😊.
Like Jesus, oral language is organic and natural. It becomes less natural if it's something that is prepared beforehand. And once you realize how many words we use such as "like," "um," and "so," and then you try to naturally speak without saying, you begin to realize that it's pretty impossible and something you can't help but do naturally.

Me too... SInce I was a really young kid, my "dad" has been sexually abusing me, not just me but my sisters and my brother too.... The last time he did it was last year and I got pregnant but I lost the baby.... I wish I had one of those perfect childhood with a perfect family but it's too late now... Because of that, I act and think as if I am at least 10 years older.... At least now I know how to protect myself kind of? Actually no I don't.... Cause now I am just desperate to find someone that isn't trying to fuck my whole life up so I end up trusting weird people.... Because of that, I started talking with a guy and I fell in love with because he understood me and was so kind and everything but he was a pedophile too

I don't have DID but I do have dissociation issues to the point of my eyes not dilating (just being aware of that is trippy AF). I also use your language about keeping memories filed and locked away with no desire to get it out. I denied the existence of my inner child completely until recently and now just think she's VERY dramatic. Putting yourself back together is so hard even when the trauma hasn't been this severe. I just want you to know I respect your system. It's kept you alive and safe through all the shit you've been through and am amazed you have littles that are happy and joyful. Keep protecting them

I can only imagine but I have seen a few stories on the news or heard a few in person that at least tells me that life isn’t peaches and cream like some believe it to be. And as just another person on this planet, with a heart and feelings I would like to sincerely apologize to anyone who has been subjected to any kind of cruelty and I just wish I could stop it from happening

    • @nataliel6153
      @nataliel6153 5 ปีที่แล้ว +20

Naive is correct. However, to be more direct, rather than naive, a person growing up in a "normal" household and environment (goes to school, has access to technology and media, etc.) has to be downright ignorant and dumb if they have absolutely no clue or denies to believe that unimaginable corruption exists in society. It's the age of technology for goodness sake! A simple curious search on the internet, school lessons, reading the news/books, watching TH-cam and browsing Reddit, etc. all contribute to increase a person's knowledge. (It's the very reason why many parents/guardians monitor their young child's internet use, postpone their exposure to technology, etc. to avoid children learning about things too mature for their age.) But a person in highschool or beyond growing up in a "normal" environment should be relatively informed on the world's society by then. Or else, how might independence and responsibility start? (Note: This is my own opinion. Writing this at 1:30 AM... I probably am missing something. Please correct me if so.)
