    I received my Anker Solix C1000 and used it in last 3 days.. It lasted full 2 days doing numerous work and it took only about 1 hour to charge back up to 100%.. Now I am not concern if the power were to go out/ I will still have my modem, router and my phone working for days...
    It is a good product.

    Good showing of the Anker. This is great for a short term power outage, but as you can see it will only power 1 or 2 major items at a time, what people dont see is that, if you keep running a high surge load on this unit over and over, it will burn the chips. Not just this one but all high frequency units, they are not designed for this, most people dont understand this, and when they break, you have a large paper weight, because the cost to repair is 80% the cost of the machine, thats why they do not repair them. Low frequency inverters are designed to take these high surge loads over and over, day after day. They are tranformer based units, built just like the electric grid, I see most people have 2,3,even 4 of these these high frequency units, with that money you could have bought a powerfull low frequency unit, that will run multiple high draw items at the same time and never damage the unit. But if you did somehow damage it, it is repairable, and easily fixed.

    • @theresatrickforthat
      @theresatrickforthat  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! I love transformer based inverters! They are beasts! I have a 3k transformer based inverter for my 12V batteries. Can you recommend a power station about the size of this Anker that uses a low frequency transformer like you’re talking about? I’ve never been able to find one.
      But it sounds like you probably know of one due to you being a die hard low frequency transformer based person! I’d love to get my hands on a small portable unit like this with the inverter you’re talking about and do testing on it! Thanks for watching!

      Not sure of any this small in power, now as far as size and weight, the Titans, from Point Zero Energy, are absolute monsters. 3000w ac 6ac plugs on 2 independent 15 amp circuits, 5 cigarette outlets 20 amp 13.8 volt, 30 amp tt30 plug(rv), dual mppt controllers 150v, 2000w solar input, dual ac chargers 1500w, ext battery expansion port, can utilize any battery chemistry, ie lead acid,gel,and lithium from any manufacturer in a24v configuration, infinate battery expansion. Comes in 2kw battery packs, all metal, stackable,portable,mc4,and anderson connectors,heaviest component 32 lbs. Minute man prep on TH-cam has ran this system on his off grid cabin 24 hrs a day with more than 2000w solar in discharging the batteries daily for almost 5 yrs continuous, still running flawless. I own 2 of them and 15kw in battery w/6kw in solar actual size is 18"w x 11"deep x8" tall

    Yeah, I finally decided to buy Anker C1000 after learning from your video and others that it could indeed run a full size fridge. Amazon had it on sale for $429. The moment I get it, I am going to try to charge it on my 100 watt solar panel. So, according to your test, you need to tell the unit to stay on when running a fridge?

    • @theresatrickforthat
      @theresatrickforthat  9 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yes, you do need to tell the unit to stay on for the fridge to continue running, it will not automatically keep running once power stops getting pulled from it when the fridge shuts off for s while. Enjoy your power station! It’s a great unit! I use mine all the time! Thanks for watching!

    I’d be very interested to know the model of fans inside this unit as well. I think the original fans in the unit were Evercool EC6015SH12BP. I think you can identify them quite easily when looking through the cover with a torch. I can’t imagine Anker will have changed models, but it’s interesting to know. Great testing, it’s good to see devices used with a broad range of home appliances for any grid down type situation.

    So you have a clamp meter or how much was the surge or peak wattage for your gas dryer ? I did a test in a small gas generator it got like 1200w then drop regular to 400-700wattw depending on load I guess it depends on what’s the surge motor needs to move . But I am glad you did all these test . Do you happen to know the voltage you get out of those ac output ports when nothing is plugged in and when using a microwave?

    • @theresatrickforthat
      @theresatrickforthat  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I did not take any of those measurements. If the dryer is empty, a lot of the smaller power stations are actually able to start it…but then it becomes difficult to put clothes in it…hence why I test with a full load of wet clothes. Significantly adds to the start up surge needed. I did not check the voltage at any time. I certainly could…just trying to strike a balance of good tests and not so many that the video is crazy long. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Can you tell me the manufacturer listed wattage on your fridge?

    • @theresatrickforthat
      @theresatrickforthat  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      It's a Whirlpool. It's rated for 6.5 amps at 120 volts. So that would make it rated for 780 watts...but I think that's only while it's running and doing a defrost cycle in the freezer at the same time. When it's running normally as you can see in the video, it only pulls 100ish watts most of the time. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    • @theresatrickforthat
      @theresatrickforthat  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! You can charge it from the car! You use the same port as you would for solar charging...the DC input port. Car charging will take close to 10 hours from 0 to full. If you max out the solar input and you have perfect conditions, it'll charge 0 to full in 2ish hours. And of course you can see the test in time-lapse in the video juicing the thing up from the wall and how long that takes. Thanks for watching!

    I'm surprised that your unit has firmware 7.2.7. I believe the C1000 shipped with 1.2.7 and is now on 1.3.2. My serial number is higher though, so maybe they sent you a preproduction unit?
    The fans are quite annoying. Both the erratic fan curve and the groaning nature of the fans at low speed. A moderate sustained load will heat the unit up and makes the fans very loud.

      @ kinda of a deal breaker. I just bought c300 dc and was considering this one. I keep the cigarette port on all the time and it never turns its self off. I thought the a/c inverter would be the same on the c1000. Thanks for the detailed review.

    So how many watts did that meter say the fridge used to run until done, that is the most important part of the test 😂 also you confused me about the inverter turning off, was a legit accurate test, good awesome video but the fridge thing confused me.. I tried to zoom in , awesome video though

    • @theresatrickforthat
      @theresatrickforthat  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As you can see in the video, most of the time the fridge was pulling just under 100 watts the majority of the time. There are heating elements to help with the freezer defrost, and when those turn on now and again, then it pulls over 300 watts.
      If there’s no load on the power station for a long enough period of time, Anker has it programmed to shut down. That’s the issue I ran into and the way around it is to use the timer. Then it won’t shut down on its own when there’s no load…like when the fridge is off between cycles. Thanks for watching and commenting on both of my videos!

      I got the AC180 first, and then grabbed the C1000. My biggest gripe on the AC180 is no wifi, and there is no auto-awake. If you have solar panels plugged in, you have to unplug and plug back in every morning. The Bluetti app crashes a lot on the Androids. Although smaller, I think Anker makes a better unit.

    • @christopherplascencia3926
      @christopherplascencia3926 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@designomatic by auto wake do you mean the c1000 turns on when power draw is plugged into the unit ?

    • @designomatic
      @designomatic 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @christopherplascencia3926 Actually, it's about the input. If solar panels are connected to my AC180 before the sun comes up, you have to unplug and reconnect the 8mm input during the daylight for the unit to accept current. There is a long thread about this issue online, and I think the term is "auto awake".
