cant believe you get negative comments Sorin, we've all learned so much from you than we ever could from data sheets and schematics, obviously that would be great too but to be able to repair almost everything without the need for them shows just how good you are, a true genius & professional in my opinion

The answer should: Art. To all the dummies ask them if they know what is VBB - 07 ÷ RB. guess what? they don't.
You are one of the best (if not the best) electronic tech, I've ever seen (I'm 50 years old with 15 years experience repairing tv's) someone as good as you.
Thank you so much for sharing

You might call yourself lazy, But you are extremely talented, and very professional in your job.
You are always looking for quick ways to complete your work flow to keep your boss happy, at the same time doing fast and cheap repairs to keep your customers happy.
There are 2 types of customer. One who want a factory quality repair at any cost, and the other who want a quick repair at budget prices .
You have a fantastic knowledge about electronics, and everyone will learn a lot from watching you at work.

You damn right...And Hell with those keyboard warriors. Why are they watching the video if they are professional? Is it because he is amazing? And they are here to be sneaky and learn from a real professional? I think that is the answer.

Sorin, you're the best teacher I've ever had. Your brand of "professional" repair combines pragmatic business practices with incredible levels of knowledge. Your customers are lucky to be able to come to you, your boss is lucky to have you, and I feel blessed to be able to learn from you tremendous skills.

I like your approach, fix it however you can, your success rate is good. Your troubleshooting is spot on, you isolated the problem, attempted a repair that in most circumstances would fix the issue, but today was Monday and it didn't work out. May the rest of your week be a success.

Its this know how of getting things to work i am searching for. I have been watching your videos for days now and i think you have learn me a lot. This knowlege is gold. You should be able to survive every where in the world. Here in the west this things are so cheap that its hardly worth repairing. It can only be done the way you do it. I am moving to South America in half a year and all my papers are specialized for Norway. I have been repairing things, but the laptops i always just bought a new one.

This made my night........you managed to repair it without just replacing part. People that say otherwise do not really work in business....there are electronic techs and then there are parts replace techs. Customers do not want to wait 18 days for part from china......anyone in repair knows this. Keep up good work love your videos.

Sorin, please don’t let the comments you’ve been getting from these naysayers get you down. If you can maintain a business with your methods and give out warranties to your customers then that proves your faith in the repairs you give, you don’t need to defend yourself at all. If your repairs didn’t work then you wouldn’t be making any money, simple. You have more experience than most of the perfectionists out there who would rather spend more time and money on a five minute job for the sake of looking down on and criticising others. Unfortunately, the internet attracts a lot of people like that, but you have far more support than criticism for sure :)

Even the best videos ( and yours is one of the best out there) get negative comments these days. Sorin you are better than them, don't let it get you down. The only thing they want is a reaction from you and to bring you down, delete their comments, ignore them, block them if you must. They don't deserve to watch your videos.

What matters is the final product the means to get there goes from each one. In my case, for example, I do not have the store next door or access to buy online is always good to have alternatives to overcome the problems.

Great video as usual. But is'n it possible to scratch the board and solder the cable, without breaking the pins on the connector. If the client want to change the cable if new problem appeared. Do not take it as a bad note, i just ask is there a difference with or without the pins ot the connector.
    regards, Yanko

Professional means that you do something for money. As far as I'm aware it has nothing to do with quality of work or workmanship. At the end of the day people have to understand the business finances. If every job is a fixed £50 all in then you fix everything in the minimum time with minimal spares otherwise you don't make money. However, having the choice as a customer as to whether you want the quick repair or wait and pay for the replacement part is a different argument entirely.

Professional just means to have the job as a profession, to do it for a living to get food on the table.
And thats really it, the meaning of the word.
Nothing says that a devoted amateur photographer cannot be more capable than a professional. Other than in general of course, statistically seen the professionals is better.

So basically what happened to this poor Lenovo ?
Water came to the connector on the screen side, shorted + voltage to screen, heated, corrupted insulation of the cables so the short became permanent and then, when you diagnosed the problem this short damaged the opposite side and burned connector to motherboard ?
Hmmm. This laptop probably needs new screen and new connectors and strip wire to be repaired OK.

Had a similar problem with lenovo ideapad 320. After replacing a broken screen and messing around with the wire that goes to the camera I assembled the thing with the battery and charger and when I turned on I just felt that burned wire smell and the battery connector was hard to take off by the time I got it off the connector on the motherboard and the ribbon cable melted the 5v supply pin to the camera. These lenovo laptops are just junk crap rubbish not woth a single penny

To hell with the "know it all guys". They are only here to learn from a real professional. You know what's funny Sorin. The guy that said that trash talking. He probably HAS TO HAVE SCHEMATICS to repair anything. But he sits there and says bad stuff to other people. Because the work isnt all new parts. How the hell would he replace that ribbon cable? He would tell the customer they need a whole screen and the connector replaced on the board. And tell them the work and parts will cost $400. And they hve to just buy new laptop. Because they will say it is not worth fixing this one. I am so sick of hearing that BS line from the so called professionals.
When it can be fixed way cheaper. They just dont want to hepp someone out and be up frint with them of what needs to be done to get it working. They will be ok with what is done. Because in the end it wont require a new laptop or paying out $400.
It may not look good. To the eye. But who is looking inside? Only repair technitions.
Let these trolls sit and beat on their chest like a gorilla. Saying how it "should be repaired". I don't see any rules written in a book or laws on how this type of repair "should" be done. All you have to do is take pride in what you do. If it looks bad and that is the cheapest way and helps someone out. They get the product back working and will last until they get a new one. Then what is the problem? The problem is with the so called pro running his mouth talking down on someone else.
