I really like the small led lights on the front of laptops - some don't have them or are on the side - just keep them in front or on top of by the keyboard - very useful
26:50 Is that glue stick strong enough to hold the hinge firmly ? Did you face any issue with that hinge again ? I'm confused in choosing b/w Epoxy and glue gun for my broken hinge. Can you please help.
I´ve used epoxy resin like JB Weld for a broken hinge/case. It is at first like chewing gum. You have 5 min to bring everything in position. Then it is rock hard and there is no chance for corrections.
used to i could say get a Dell as they can be repaired but now also as you say, older ones still work great and these with soldered cpus they work for short time and die.
Hallo friend. Realy learning from your videos. I have a hp 250 that wont turn on. The charging port light turns on when on charger. When you press power button the power led turns on for 6 seconds then off. There are two mosfets that i have tested using diode mode on DMM and they seem to be shorted to ground on both. Unfortunately i dont have a power supply to use your nice method of finding the short. How can i go about it....
I have the same problem with my z580 I’m hoping to find somewhere nearby who can fix it, how much do you think a repair shop would charge for this fix?
Nice job Sorin, in one of your earlier videos i remember you saying that you prefer to heat the glue sticks instead of using a Glue Gun, i cant remember why, can you please refresh me on the reason, like yourself i switched from Apple to Samsung, best decision i've made in a long time, the S8 is a great phone and hey no more iTunes, great, takes a bit of getting used to but well worth it.
sir good morning from Philippines. i have the same laptop z480, my father accidentally spilled a glass of water in the keyboard and it shutdown. he used a hair blower to dry and nothings happen. what i notice wen i plug the power is that the board in the area of the hard disk is getting hot. i tried to follow different things on your channel but no luck. hope u could help me

thank you, i need the hot glue to be more fluid and only with high temperature i can achieve that
