    Ken, I've been reading your reviews on your website for some time. I never knew you had a TH-cam channel until now. I'm glad I found it. I'm both a rangefinder film and Fujifilm mirrorless shooter. I am a proud X-E3 owner and LOVE this camera. It is my goto digital camera for just about everything, street, travel and profession shoots. In my view, it's a baby X-Pro2 and renders photos the same way. I also shoot with the X-H1, primarily for professional shoots and the X-E3 is my back up in that case.
    Both your written and video reviews are refreshing because they're no-nonsense and given from the perspective of an actual photographer who shots in real life and not just a product reviewer who doesn't really shoot at all. So I thank you, sir. Out of curiosity, what are your thoughts about features you'd like to see in the X-E4 when that camera comes available?

      Hi! Actually I miss the rear 4-way controller. Touch Functions are awful. Give me more real buttons and a second card slot and we're done; awesome camera as it is!

      @@KenRockwellTVunderstood. I'd love to see a tilt screen, I don't need a fully articulating but a tilt screen would be nice.
      Also, I wish Fujifilm would redo there mobile app and begin supporting raw file transfers. I almost never shoot jpeg and the current app only supports jpegs.

    I use a Fuji X-A3 For my out and about camera. It doesn't have a view finder but the LCD can flip which is super handy especially when going into awkward positions. I programmed the FN button to toggle a quick menu for ISO. Where the "non professional" X mount cameras really shine for me is adapting vintage lenses. In full manual mode they are fantastic.

      I don’t know that I’d call any of the Fujis “non professional.” Even the cheapest seem better made than many more expensive offerings from other brands. New X-Pro3 review published last night: www.kenrockwell.com/fuji/x-pro3.htm

    Map the ISO to front Commander dial that way control shutter with rear Commander dial and of course aperture on the lens.

    Ken, your video reviews are just as good as your written ones which IMO are the best out there. Thanks for making both. BTW I've seen the X-E3 with the XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 lens for sale new for $800 (see link to B&H in video description) which is a great price for a great kit.

    For me, the x factor with Fuji's E series cameras is the fun of shooting with them. You get great pics in low light and the cameras handle beautifully. Thanks for giving respect where it's due, Ken.

    I’m glad I came across one of your videos that I am now subscribed. I always check your blogs/reviews everytime I have to buy Nikon stuffs before. I have switched to Fuji and I’m glad you are now on tube and do honest reviews on them as well. I think your earliest review That I can remember was before your kid was born. You always take pictures of your baby on your reviews, i remember.👍🏻

    A great review, not as nit-picky as the average on this camera!. I have owned this camera 6months and any qwerks the camera has can be worked around like most cameras.

    Great review as always! Oh please... Does its manual (M) mode supports auto ISO?

    • @KenRockwellTV
      @KenRockwellTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can’t remember but it should. ISO varies to get correct exposure at set shutter and aperture.

  • @MrJed_s
    @MrJed_s 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Ken, from reading some of your Fuji X body reviews and your comments from around 7:10, it seems that you're not completely happy with Fuji's auto minimum shutter speed implementation? In my mind, for this to work well, it should a) take into account OIS (and IBIS in the case of X-H1), and allow for some sort of min. shutter speed compensation (which is what I take your comments to mean?). I also plan to put several other enhancements forward to Fuji including an auto ISO mode that allows the dial to control minimum shutter speed. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the matter!

    How is the combination of new XE3 and 18-55 mm lens for travel and street still photography costing USD 730. Recommend budget telescopic lens for the same camera. Thank you very much.

    • @KenRockwellTV
      @KenRockwellTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Swell! Better than the X-E4, which removed all the controls. X-T30 still a favorite with reasonably full controls and flash built in.

    • @KenRockwellTV
      @KenRockwellTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can’t remember. It’s all due to Fuji’s awful menu system. If flash won’t work you have to start guessing what you did wrong, like continuous advance Mode or silent shutter and start turning those off.
