    For us older guy's who grew up in the 70's, being told to eat lot's of animal protein, it's great to hear and learn that plant based, predominantly fruit is adequate and healthier, especially for us older guy's who want to retain our muscle mass. Thank you kindly for the video. Keep up the great work. Keep them coming. Blessings,

      I train every Monday. Only 4 sets. 4 exercises after a warm up set for on each. My workout today was
      Palms up pulldowns 6 to 10 reps to failure. I got 12 reps today so will up the weight next time
      Dip machine dips. 6 to 10 reps to failure I got 11. So will stay at the same weight until I get 12.
      Barbell squats 12 to 18 reps to failure in a power rack. I got 16 reps. So I stay the same until I get 20.
      Çalf raises 12 to 20 reps to failure. I got 22 reps so will up the weight next workout.
      Everyother week. I will change out the dips for incline dumbell press. And the pulldowns for standing barbell curls.
      Simple but very effective. And I nearly always get an extra rep the next workout. I have seen tremendous progress in the 9 months I've been doing this routine. My barbell curl started with 70lbs for 8 reps 9 months ago. And now im at 100lbs for 7 reps.
      Mentzer said if you respect the recovery process. You would be rewarded with regular progress. And he was right. I remember my overtraining days. When I would be stuck at a given weight and number of reps for WEEKS.

    I’ve been a vegan almost raw for the animals, earth and my health for over 10 years.
    One thing I’ve found as my hormones have dropped as I’m almost 60, is that because I’ve lost muscle and bone density (we lose a pound of muscle every year starting at 35), I do need more protein. So, I add pea protein to my smoothies.

      A big mistake a lot of raw vegans make is that they don't eat enough and they don't train. People seem to do better on a high raw diet eating a few cooked meals per week, or 1 cooked meal per day.

    Lot of incorrect information early in this. Carbs are important, but don't build muscle. And the ratio of mucle tissue to glycogen has nothing to do with meal macros. 60 percent carbs will lead to weight gain and higher insulin, but not necessarily muscle growth. I do agree it's possible to be strong on a vegan eating plan, but not like this.

    • @TribeByNoire
      @TribeByNoire  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Carbs literally help to build muscle by hydrating the cells and providing the energy needed to sustain the respiration process and duplication of the cells.
      Macros are directly correlated to glycogen storage, because the glycogen needed to sustain and grow the muscle comes from food, which is comprised of those 3 macros.
      60% carbs has been scientifically demonstrated to improve insulin sensitivity. Higher insulin sensitivity leads to lower serum insulin levels. This has been proven diabetes reversal studies.
      More insulin sensitivity leads to more fat loss, and greater glucose uptake into lean mass. The opposite of what you claimed has been demonstrated in the scientific literature.

    You don’t need carbohydrates to create glycogen in the muscle. Fat can be metabolised to glucose. Mass can be built on meat alone. Excess carbs lead to fat gain and insulin resistance, so your dominant carb theory makes no sense. Grains and legumes are deficient in sulphur containing amino acids and various nutrients. They are hard to digest and contain phytates and lectins which reduce absorption of minerals. Fruits are high in water and low in nutrients. Vegan diet will result in degeneration.

      @solb101 food addiction is one hell of a drug. Btw notice all the carnivore diet influencer are starting to add fruit into their diets 😂
      Their blood test results are coming back with b vitamin and electrolyte deficiencies.

      It's always most efficient to consume fruit if you understand how digestion works. Fat/protein has to be broken down into glucose/amino acids and acidic waste. Fruit already contains glucose/amino acids and doesn't need to be broken down or form any acidic waste...

    • @solb101
      @solb101 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Justineatsfruit This is foolish. Fruit contains fructose that is metabolised by the liver into glucose and can promote the synthesis of fat. Fruit is high in water and low in nutrients. Then you have all of that fibrous mush to deal with. Meat takes longer to digest because it is rich in macro and micronutrients that are gradually digested and absorbed by the tissues. Meat satiates with nutrition and thus prevents overeating. Metabolic waste does not make the body more acidic. The body maintains balance regardless of what you eat.

    Brother, I wish you well in your journey👍🏾. But you cannot build muscle by only eating fruit and vegetables. Absolutely BS!!!
    You need protein, in addition to a certain amount of poly unsaturated fat! This is required to upper regulate the endocrine system (i.e., hormones). Without testosterone men, do not put on muscle my man what do you think testosterone is made out of?🤦🏾‍♂️
    Cholesterol!
    Yes, your body can make cholesterol, but it requires large amounts of vitamin D3 and zinc. Now try getting that from fruit. Any man reading this who wants to truly put on muscle, eat some eggs and meat.🫵🏾

    Hey Brother, this was a great video. Especially on the part about how many carbs the body can take on provided the fat is low.
    Do you eat any starch ? I have been structuring my diet, mostly on fruits with a small amount of grain and potatoes, but thinking about ditching them to see how I feel without. my understanding is fruit does not get stored as muscle glycogen,only as liver glycogen. But the glucose molecule would be stored intramuscularly with water right ???
    I have a lot of mental programming to let go of especially the meat/protein brainwashing.
