- This time, we will use [Kasumi grass dried flower S size・green] to camouflage with plants. The Elefant has a large body, so it's just right, but if you use it for a tank with a small body, it may be overscale. As always, let's start with assembly. Please enjoy slowly.
今回は［かすみ草ドライフラワーSサイズ・グリーン］を使って草木によるカモフラージュを施します。エレファントは車体が大きいのでちょうど良いですが、小さな車体の戦車に使うと少々オーバースケールになるかも知れません。まずはいつもの様に組み立てから始めましょう。ゆっくりとお楽しみ下さい。

Tamiya still outshine the other modelling companies at every turn . They,ve always been the best and remain ahead of Dragon , Takom and the others . Their models are always a pleasure to build and they still provide good quality figures ,a point the competition should make a note of .

It's true that Tamiya's kits are always a pleasure to build...but in terms of detail and etch, imho Dragon and Takom long ago surpassed Tamiya. Tamiya's done their best to keep the pace, though.
It's a great time to be a WW II model kit builder! I remember when Tamiya were the only really quality kits with fairly good detail available. Things have changed, though, and you can now find and build nearly any vehicle used in WW II with almost museum-quality detail. I mean, the hobby's come light years since I was a kid; what with photoetch, slide mold technology and real attention to accuracy and detail. It's great! 😁
@@christopher9270 I am not a professional but an amateur who enjoys plastic models as a hobby. For that reason, Tamiya is wonderful because it is reasonable, wallet-friendly, and guarantees a decent finish. The work is also fun, such as making up for the details with your own handmade photo-etched parts. However, there will come a time when we will have to deal with other manufacturers' products. At that time, it is very reliable that the products of other manufacturers are substantial.👍

This Tamiya kit looks very beautiful , but a 4 parts gun its a shame . Tamiya needs a lot of years to introduce the one piece barrels when most of marks do it for long time
I see, maybe so. I don't know about overseas, but in Japan Tamiya's products are very cheap compared to other manufacturers' products when purchased online (about half the price). For me, I can accept that because of the low price. Thanks for your comments.✋

It definitely needs zimmerit. Def does some that are like decals and cheap.

@@smc-2 Don't change it with the Ferdinand, which haven't had Zimmerit. Elefant's were refurbished Ferdinands. Elefants did get a Commanders Cupola, MG at the front and Zimmerit. You can read this in every book

can this still be done with Tamiya tracks and wheels if I already have the washers ? was the tracks built off the tanks still ? thanks
Tracks are inherently separate from the body and from the wheels. It can be assembled as a single unit. Another question I don't understand. I'm sorry. Thanks for your comment.😆

Sergey pointed out that Elefants had zimmerit coating and Tamiya has zimmerit decals you could use to enhance this already stunning model.
