Nice Sir! I enjoy the esthetic you archived! Looks wonderful, like a monument from the past that that comes to life with the wonderful music you choose! Danke :)
Very nice. Both the video and the model. I've never tried that multiple layer approach with hair-spray chipping. It works really well on the DAQ tank's weathering. All too often modelers try and fail at that look (including me). Thank You very much.
This looks like a tank that’s been everywhere and done everything. Probably gone though at least 3 dead crew members and been repaired a lot. The side escape hatches means it’s an early version but the turret is late. Maybe the gun mantlet was destroyed got sent back to the factory where it received a 75mm gun. That’s the wonderful thing about models. Depending on how you build them and paint them they can have so many story about them. The only thing that threw me off was the turret number. Usually German tank numbers indicate company, platoons, and platoon position. For example 131 would be 1st company, 3rd platoon, 1st tank (commanders tank). Company leaders often had a first number and then 2 zeros, like 100, to denote it was the commander of the 1st company. The reason why the other 2 numbers where zeros is because the tank was not assigned to a platoon and thus had no position in one. Not entirely sure what 02 would be.
I would love to give some feedback on your model here! First off, I loved your hairspray chipping method. What you did with the multiple colors made it really deep and the colors balanced each other out. I normally do not see other modelers going this deep into hairspray chipping. I thought that your stowage was fantastic and wish I could have seen it being painted. Watching it being placed onto your tank was really satisfying. A few small nitpicks I have is that your rust could have been a bit thinner in some places, but the good majority of it was just right. I also think that the buff down near the wheels could have used more blending too. Also, I noticed that you were brush-painting with Tamiya paints. What you did was fantastic considering how hard it is to brush paint with Tamiya. I would recommend using Vallejo or any other acrylic paint brand when brush painting. Overall, I think you did amazing on your tank here and you should be proud of yourself! Thank you for sharing your work, I really enjoyed watching the video. Cheers! :D
