Thanks so much bro! Tosin Abasi is a legendary guitarist. Among the best these days! If I can recommend, it just depends what you want to hear:
    - if you want to hear a djenty, jazzy tune: Physical Education
    - A banger riff: Tooth and Claw
    - Complexity: CAFO
    - Technicality: Lippincott
    - That crazy thumb technique in full potential: The Woven Web
    Have fun ;)
(Also I had to sub, your reaction was goddamn accurate)

Watching EMGtv, I saw this video as my first exposure to Tosin and Animals a Leaders. My reaction to those sweeps: "HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!"

I don't think he realizes that Tosin is playing bass riffs at the same time as guitar lol

If you want to focus on transitions go for Nephele, for Slap and melody go for The woven web, if you want and aggressive power of an 8 stringed guitar go for Tooth and claw.

Wave of babies is one of aal's best songs but they didnt include it on the full length..I am at a loss when it comes to that decision, I dont understand it at all

though Misha gets plenty of recognition for all his musical projects/endeavours (Periphery fanboy now tbh after fucking hating em/never giving em a solid chance for years) i feel like this is one project (first AAL album) he's a part of, that he doesnt get enough credit for. Tosin and Misha both collaborated on this album, and Misha programmed the drums as well as produced it out of his apartment while both worked their day jobs. In fact, Tosin was almost ready to quit guitar because he was so stressed bout getting the album to early Sumerian records and it being "shit" in his eyes lol. But apparently after getting with Misha on the matter, and them being friends prior to all this anyhow, an amazing album was created and it certainly put Tosin on the map. It also reassured him to stick with guitar/music as a creative/entrepreneurial outlet i think. But still in my opinion, this is one thing Misha hardly gets enough credit for being a fundamental/essential part of. Not necessarily for the quality, but for helpin create some of the craziest/groovinest fucking riffs/jams even by todays standards. Also, by no means am i taking anything away from the beast Tosin here. Just stating a personal opinion yanno? You said you dig metal, dude check out Haunted Shores' album Vectors. Got some gnarly jams on there fersure bud. Blast Inc, The Spire, and Norway Jose are pretty banging jams. Awesome vid though dude, i dug it. You seem like a genuine dude. Cheers from Tennessee!

Mr Hamburgler fan of Periphery ever since hearing their first single Icarus Lives on XM Liquid Metal (remember that shit)...anyway, I didn’t even know that Misha was such an integral part of Animals as Leaders first album...thanks for that info. I’m gonna go look up even more about it now. 🤘🏼

Give some love to Javier Reyes, also 8 string guitarist from Animals as Leaders!! i think you'll dig his music, check Mestis(his side project) or his classical stuff with Ortega Guitars.

Should react to Jeff Loomis performing "Jato Unit" on the EMGtv channel. Completely different style of playing, but he's similarly talented.

Truant! I've recently started watching your videos, I usually don't like these type of react videos, but i stumbled upon your first Between the buried and me reaction and I had a great time watching. Your personality cracks me up. You should check out Blake Richardson's (BTBAM drummer) Specular Reflection play through. One of the most talented drummers in the metal world. A tank just like you say. Looking forward to more videos.

Don't know if you'll see this but if you do try The Helix Nebula, Stephen Teranto or Sithu Aye if you don't know about them, they are pretty similar bands with complex riffs with different time time signature changes.

I do love some AAL. However I do feel just because you can play fast notes and change time sig sporadically, doesn’t mean you should. For me it takes away the emotion and enjoyment from the music. Don’t get me wrong.. I like my fair share of technical fast shit, but not so relentlessly
