Nice video! Two tips: Mark the location of the control arm nuts with a paint pen before loosening. (See 6:20) The holes are slotted for caster/camber alignment and by marking the nut location, you can hold the alignment. This only works if you use USA-made OEM Motorcraft control arms, which are identical to the originals. Use some China junk and all bets are off... and you'll be doing it again in eight months.
I got one from a local parts store and the ball joint is off to the side. It is seated properly in the control arm but the bolt is off and like a 30 degree angle while the drivers side was essentially vertical. Is that okay or is it defective?
oof, these jobs look easy but 1 you have the luxury of lots of space around the vehicle and a lift, and 2 it looks like you guys are based outside of the rust belt judging by the ease these bolts break free. that and when i hear lift to ride height or get an alignment, im just ya know i got a guy who can do this lol.
