I work at a small farm. There are some huge caucasians too. One of them roams free occationally. He is a big teddybear looking guy, but I respect him and have never tried to pet him or anything. The owners said, it is better not to look straight at him. The guarding bark and growl is something else!
It’s funny cause my dog is half caucasian shepherd by looking at him he is big but he is passing as a random mixed dog, and he have a very unfriendly personality, the best way to become his friend is if you just enter my apt, not looking at him, and not talking to him, if a stranger is trying to touch him he gets real mad😂 but he strangely likes people like the cleaning lady and the delivery guys because they don’t mess with him so he is just happy to see them every time to the point that he is going and laying on their foot for attention lol.
I have a husky. We weren't going to get one as we already had a cross breed husky, but he needed fostering ASAP so we got him. While he lacks a lot of manners, isn't lead trained, would one hundred percent run away, is very food orientated, is stubborn and tests limits, he's still an amazing companion. No one wanted him because he wasn't trained and they were going to put him down. I can handle a dog who's a bit hyper and lacks a few manners, so we decided to get him.
It’s amazing how different breeds can be, just like us and our lives!! I really wish more people who love animals would do the research to see if they have the right lifestyle not only to raise any puppy, but to find the breed that matches your lifestyle the best!! The dogs deserve it, and the owners deserve it. The research is WORTH doing 🎉❤
Have a cocker spaniel, very chill now at 6 but when he was two he was a handful however the rest of the litter are all mad and still running around. So that’s a very fair assessment of the breed
We have a spaniel/poodle mix and we are so careful to tell everyone that enjoys her that we got crazy lucky with her adaptable energy. She also has aggressive energy we help her get out with play and an "off" word. That being said, she is of course a VERY good girl ;)
I had two Cocker Spaniels from different breeders. Never had a problem with them. They are manageable. Maybe it is just me. Agree 100% with the Husky. The other breed I don't know. If it is a sheep dog, it definitely belongs in the wild.
I didn't want a dog but was guilted into rescuing a feral chihuahua dog mix from the desert. She desperately needed help; the first few months were fun 😂 and challenging, but she is amazing now! She still has PTSD reactions once in a while, but 99% of the time, i could not have a better friend. With thousands of dogs dying in shelters, a rescue seems more ethical.
My husky and I understand. I adopted her when she was five, I work with her every day. She's seven now and when she's a little naughty I get to experience 0 guilt.
Best family dog I ever had was Grizzly, he was a Rottweiler, Brittany Spaniel, Black Lab mix. He had a chocolate coat with curls and was the sweetest dog ever
I knew a guy who had a husky When he was out the husky told him where they were going or it would just sit and refuse to move until it got to go the way he wanted 😂 Some roads or paths it refused to go down
My grandson has a husky. Beautiful dog!! I taught him to sit..stay and come. Should have taught him not to chew the corners of every baseboard in the house and the entertainment center! My grandson no longer lives with me. Gee I miss him! The dog not my grandson!
My gran had 2 cocker spaniels. First was from a show line and he was super calm and snuggly. Best friends with everyone. The 2nd was from a hunting line and she was a bundle of energy, but the biggest teddy bear of a dog I ever met! She wanted to be held and cuddled. She'd use her paws to pull your arms in and then flop her head on your chest and look up at you with the soppiest eyes. Now she could run for 20 miles without issue but would just as easily settle down.
Same! I was like, uh oh. Our puppy is lab mixed with husky, so hopefully the lab tendencies overpower the husky. Or maybe ours isn't Siberian... ? 😳🐕❤️
I have a cocker springer spanial. His name is Dave and he is the love of my life but yes. He is a crazy dog who has more Energy then we can handle lol 😅
haha had 2 huskies growing up...very independent and stubborn dogs, love to run great escape artist, love to howl, fur everywhere, if they get of the lead they are gone with the wind, loved our huskies but i get what hes saying 😂
Don't no about the 1st or 3rd dogs never had one don't agree about the cocker spaniels got two great dogs good with kids love walks short or long but are just as happy curled up having a pet and stroke
Had a male and female caucasian shepherd. Can confirm, not pets. Very territorial and will decide for themselves if they like someone, they dont trust their owners judgement. I didnt own them, they owned me 😂
I think mine is a backwards evolution he’s so dopey, has his jobs but is not what they’re technically described as 😂 he just wants attention off us all the time, even when he’s out happy to meet anyone but definitely great at guarding in the house if people come in 😁
Different lines of Spaniels right? Especially cocker - working and show, like labs? I have a springer X lurcher and he's a demon in the field and when he's hunting but loves nothing more than cuddling on the sofa for the majority of his waking hours
You said it yourself...your spaniel is a cross. I think he talks about pure breeds. I personally wouldn't get a cocker too😅 I am too afraid of getting one with cocker rage tbh
I have 2 two dakota sport retrievers (golden / spaniel mix) and a lab husky mix currently. Beautiful dogs all but they are certainly all high energy! My male sport retriever is more like a golden than a spaniel. My female sport retriever definitely has no shut off switch.
I’m sorry, I have a 9-year-old Working Cocker Spaniel and she is a delight. Amazingly well behaved, a superb temperament and fantastic to have as a member of the family. They are easy to train and I refute categorically your narrative, as in this case it is wholly inaccurate!
This video is titled Why HE, in HIS opinion, would never own these breeds & why, based on years on years of experience with multiple examples. Relax, Brenda, you can't 'categorically deny & denounce' someone else's personal OPINION - particularly based in their knowledge & vast experience- to be replaced, and presumably ment to be accepted as "fact", by YOUR own personal opinion, based on your experience of ONE dog. Seriously, that's ridiculous & painfully ironic. He's not saying YOUR particular dog isn't fabulous. He's saying, in short, *Lucky you.
@@jimlongstaff8195 nope. I would have had to say something like, 'you don't know what you're talking about', or, 'no, you're totally wrong' etc. for that to be the case, and more to the point, I did not say or suggest 'Hey! You CAN'T say that at all.' Say what you want. Pointing out the irony of your stated position, places me in neither camp as one of you is right & the other wrong - in the original matter. You're each, as well as all, entitled to our own opinions.
huskies, so engaging so energetic and full of personality. very few folk have suitable home for these guys. yet we see so many of them here in the UK. if you have adjoining neighbours you should NOT adopt a husky. fun dogs though, even when they're hard work.
I’d add pitbulls, border collies and malinois. Companion breeds seem like a safer bet for pet owners, along with some guardians and retrievers. Of course there’s nothing that an irresponsible breeder can’t ruin though
I have recently purchased a german shepherd. Inspite of feeding it as per my vets instruction. It has chewed thru my furniture. Can you please please please suggest a remedy that can work for me
The dog needs to be corrected in the act, so it should be in a crate when you cannot watch it. That way, you can catch it trying to eat the couch and you can sternly correct it, and continue. Any time the dog is able to do something without being corrected immediately, it regresses in its training, because it may not understand why sometimes it is allowed to eat the couch and sometimes it is not. You basically need to make it forget what it is even like to eat the couch so it isn’t an urge anymore, so you have to stop them before it starts every single time. Crate train it and continue until it stops eating the couch, then you can let it outside the crate by itself. My golden was the same way as a puppy, now I can leave him home for 9 hours and he just roams all over the house for different places to sleep. Never ruins anything Right now I’m trying to train my golden to not obliterate any fluff toy I buy him. He does pretty well with the new toy, but I can’t let him have them when I’m not around because once he breaks a hole in it and sees there’s fluff inside it, it’s game over. He’ll never stop trying to obliterate it. So I only give the toy to him when I am able to watch him and say no when he starts “sawing” it with his back teeth. Now he’s doing well, had a fluff toy for 2 months and hasn’t destroyed it.
Your dog needs lots of exercise, a job and mental stimulation. He’s probably bored to tears. And ditch the vet’s feeding and diet recommendations. Vets get little education where nutrition is concerned and are often schooled & rewarded by the pet food companies. Transition yr dog to a species appropriate diet of primarily raw meat, RAW bones & organs. You’ll be rewarded by spending much less on vet bills over the years & yr dog will thank you.
I don't know the other 2 breeds, but you're far too harsh on Cockers and Springers. I've had 2 of each. Play with them, stimulate them and discipline them and you will enjoy them. You're wrong!
Gutted to hear that tbh, I’ve got a Sprocker mutt and always held out hope it was my fault I struggled to get him to settle down. Even after a long day working his brain and body 😢
Dude my husky a k9 security dog and he can look for drugs bite and also do first aid and basic medical assistance it just how good are you in training I’ve had causian Shepard as a kid and they never was to much they play for a bit and just nap
I remember I used to have an old couple that would regularly bring their Caucasian shepherd puppy with then to the pub. They would order him the children's sausages off the menu and substitute the mash and gravy with steamed carrots. The puppy was 5 months and the size of fully grown German shepherd. Really sweet and dopy, but I doubt I'd ever own one for myself 😅
Get a fish bro. Dogs are meant to be outside. Let me put you in a house. With no tv internet books and just not being allowed to run around as well. You'd go crazy in 1 day. Animals are meant to be outside

My husky and I understand.
I adopted her when she was five, I work with her every day. She's seven now and when she's a little naughty I get to experience 0 guilt.
I feel like her not looking guilty is a testament that you never over corrected her or hurt her so she didn't have reason to fear you.
Agreed on Husky.

Cockers and springers are amazing pets. Once they get a bit of physical and mental stimulation on a daily basis they love lazing about.
I have aHalf show, half worker cocker. All he does is sleep and chill when he is home.
Sheesh, I am 7 spaniels in. All beasts outdoors. All couch loafers inside. Now my work line Border Collie just handed his beer to your spaniels.
I say it all the time: Huskies are my favorite breed to watch other people own.
😂
Cocker Spaniels are also very bad for nipping, which can blossom into biting if not trained out of it very quickly.
I have a cocker spaniel and poodle mix, and hes a very chill dog who can also have high energy when were playing with him (cockapoo)

I'd love for Will to meet my Cocker might help to change his impression on the breed
the giggle at the pewdiepie clip got me 💀💀💀💀
Hmm. Springers and cockers are great dogs! I love them. Smart, good with the family, etc. They do need walks, etc.
