I'm a proud Englishman and I think that North is a sensational player in a frighteningly strong, skillful, creative + confident Welsh setup and I love watching Wales play. Whether he ever approaches the epic heights of a Jonah Lomu, we'll have to wait and see....tomorrow, I think you Welsh boys will win......just....but I'm expecting it to be a humdinger! And if Wales do win, good on 'yer! You have a monster of a team who are scintillating to watch in full flow.
any team with george north should be able to win because he is bloody amazing, he's my favourite rugby player at the moment hence why im watching this video in the first place :)
You have got to update this excellent tribute and add the highlights from this weekends Ireland v Wales game. He has got everyone talking. He is world class NOW!
I think that it is really important that we don't put too much pressure on him. Yes, he is an amazing player but he is still only 19 so it's important that we just let him play. Well done George, show them that there is talent in North Wales ;)
He's 20, give him more years and he will be even better than he currently is. Love people who say he's nowhere near the best, people are saying he's good and has potential, obviously not going to be the best at 20, is he...?
Got family in New Zealand as well hehe they love it out there they live near Dunedin they sent me a New Zealand AllBlack baby grow for my son & sent me a tea shirt with house of pain Dunedin I loved it , look we went through a hard time about twenty years ago because of our old fashioned WRU when all the 1st team & 2nd team left to go to Rugby league because the WRU wouldn't change our structure we suffered in our country that loves rugby so much we had to start again & it hurt us for so long .
Shingler went to my school in South Wales, as did his brother, another representative of Wales in U20s. Toby Faletau moved to Wales when he was just 7. And North grew up in Wales from the age of 2 onwards, going through the educational and rugby system. The exact place of your birth does not completely define you or your heritage.
fair play :) i'm Scottish too and i think you are making some decent points about our players, kind of wish i was welsh just so we could have some of your players mind cause they are bloody amazing ^ only 19! jesus
Jonah Lomu played in an era where the sport had just turned professional. Players are much bigger and stronger now that they were back in those days. If ANYONE scored 15 tries in a world cup like Lomu did these days then that would be an incredible achievement. I personally would like to have a time machine so North and Lomu could play against each other. And Shane on the other wing hehe.
George North will go down as one of the greatest wingers of all time if he stays healthy. If he was playing for the all blacks he would get a mountain of tries with the ball he'd get.
The thing i like about North is that he isn't a selfish player. always passes when the time is right and has brilliant off loads. there was at least a couple of runs that he could've gone all the way but passed. Good team player and individual. Plenty more games ahead as well. Can see him shining against France end of this 6 Nations :-) Go WALES!!!!!
North still has a few more years of steady development but when he peaks I think he will be up there with southern hemisphere wingers. His pace and stepping ability at his size are frightening. There are more technical sides to his game such as kicking and competing in the air that need working on but his raw winger ability is there.
Jonah Lomu - 18 years old - 195cm(6 ft 5 - 121kg - 10.8 in 100m - fastest All Black over 10m. Demolished teams single handedly, "Jonah Lomu" was also a game plan on most teams lists. Was a freak of nature, until you see the man I real life will you actually be able to fathom something like that on a rugby pitch. So when George North gets mentioned as a "equal" , take a walk buddy cause he ain't.
Hello im george north, I play for wales, ive scored 11 trys in 17 matches, im 6ft4,nearly 17stone, i would sit on chris ashton...........................oh and im 19 years old.:)... what a legend
Very different players, but you still have to remember he's only 20. he wont be playing his best for a few years now (assuming he doesn't get injured) as when you watch him play you can still see he has much to learn. Obviously he'll never be the same player as Shane, but he may well be as effective, in my opinion.
"Against the nations like aussies and kiwis he is nothing." Did you see him for the Lions against the Aussies today? He scored one of the great Lions tries
North's first try was Barnes mistake and there was a little bit of shepherding. I watched all 3 tests and Folau has won every high balls against North, not just one if I recall correctly. He also stepped North almost everytime he got the ball and denied a try as well.
They are both great world class players, if anything there is very little between them and I think we haven't seen the best of either player yet. George Norths grandparents weren't kiwis mate; where did you get that from? To be fair to Wales Georges mother is Welsh, he grew up in Wales from the age of 2, came through the Welsh rugby ranks from schoolboy to present and he is a 1st language welsh speaker and to top that he choose to play for Wales over England, all above board and within the rules
Oh, so for you it's 2/3 - 3/3. I know Wales haven't got a good record against South Africa, but I think the lions experience was invaluable for the Welsh boys. For England vs NZ last time, England were backed into a corner if you know what I mean, and basically emptied their tanks to beat the All Blacks.England *can* beat them again, but it looks 60-40 in favour of the All Blacks as far as I can see this time. Man... if my brother saw me talking about Wales like this, he'd slit my throat...
@scrumpoxjnr I sticking to this one. The way he can read the the game and his abillity to put others into space is just to hard to ignore. He would be the conductor for that backline.
You're right, in fact I've said it myself - Lomu boshed smaller defenders. But still, the stats I mentioned earlier - Lomu was 6'5 and 120kg, while North is 6'4 and 109. Only 1 inch between them, yet Lomu has 11kg of muscle on him...not to mention that he was also slightly faster. If Lomu turned up as a 19 year old today, his impat wouldn't be as big, but he'd still be the strongest winger, followed by Alesana Tuilagi. Taking nothing away from North though - fantastic player.
he is a real talent and he is easily one of my favourite players rite now. but i think he struggled after warburton was not in the team because of the tip tackle he almost looked a lil lost maybe, the whole wales side felt it because beccause sam was the real playmaker with priestland and when they were gone the wheels fell off. agree or disagree?
Wales only come alive in in competitions though in the Autumn internationals we don't seem to want to win but come the 6 Nations well up for the challenge crazy I know .
I remember the French in the WC semifinal making Lomu look very ordinary when they knocked NZ out. They did it by kicking over him and making him turn and go back.
Watch Lomu's highlights - even with his outrageous size, he outpaced all of his competitors. He could still do that 10.8 at his peak rugby physique. Also, Lomu started playing rugby at 18-19 - not long after high school. Not saying North is bad in any way - his footwork and strength are frightening, but Lomu was just ridiculous - only Alesana Tuilagi has comparable speed and strength.
i literally cant wait for the lions tour. backline as follows.9 Phillips, 10 Sexton, 12 Roberts, 13 O driscoll (if he decides to go for one more), 11 North, 14 Lamont, 15 kearney. Australia wont know what hit them
Half Welsh half English and to be honest the mere fact that he speaks fluent Welsh i would say puts him more on the side of the Welsh, also another fact is that he has spent more time in Wales than in any other country plus he had the choice of playing in Wales or England and he chose to play for Wales so i think he decided for himself what nationality he is!!!
At the end of the autumn tests I would have said England were ahead of Wales. After the 1st half against Ireland Wales went on and got stronger and stronger leading to the final in Cardiff, were England seemed to struggle through the 6N with some unconvincing wins. So especially with the lions showing I think Wales are ahead again especially now we have Gatland back in charge.
- this happened every time, bar for that one try, so I don't think it is a case of him "just stepping" North. I also remember him trying that when North didn't have to drift, North just picked him up and drove him backwards (final test). It's interesting you just brush of North's try, what about the initial step and break of the tackle? Also, what about his break from his own 22 in the warm up games? Showing a step, power to break the tackle and speed. IMO more all round skills than Falou
Wales have South Africa, Argentina then Tonga, the SA have looked very good in the SH 4 nations so looking forward to getting their scalp, as for you doubting England will win against NZ this Autumn I didn't give them a hope in hell last time so I'm saying nothing where it comes to England playing NZ. All I hope is we get some outstanding rugby with plenty of wins for all home nations (including England but don't tell my mates lol)
Such a gutsy player.
I hope he plays for another 4 years.
I LOVE HIS SPEED AND HIS "GET OUT OF MY WAY!" ATTITUDE!!!
I'm a proud Englishman and I think that North is a sensational player in a frighteningly strong, skillful, creative + confident Welsh setup and I love watching Wales play. Whether he ever approaches the epic heights of a Jonah Lomu, we'll have to wait and see....tomorrow, I think you Welsh boys will win......just....but I'm expecting it to be a humdinger! any team with george north should be able to win because he is bloody amazing, he's my favourite rugby player at the moment hence why im watching this video in the first place :)
Kid is 18 but plays and acts like he has been doing all this for years - proud to have him in Wales
so talented that, at such a young age, he deserves the blackouts and viking music.
Not only that, but he's got great vision for the game, links up with other players and has a passing game. All round great player.
I love that George North has the talent available to play incredibly selfishly, yet still plays very selflessly. Constantly looking for the offload.
George is going to be one of the greatest players ever to play rugby for Wales.
Young, talented and huge as ! Hes gonna go a long way !
You have got to update this excellent tribute and add the highlights from this weekends Ireland v Wales game. He has got everyone talking. He is world class NOW!
Lucky man. 19 and in the world cup already. Im jealous, and I hope he has a long and prosperous career
Awesome video edition. Congratulations mate.
So happy he's Welsh! Would hate to see Wales come up against him. What an unbelievable talent.
I think that it is really important that we don't put too much pressure on him. Yes, he is an amazing player but he is still only 19 so it's important that we just let him play. Well done George, show them that there is talent in North Wales ;)

Awesome did you see those tries against Australia magic .
He's bloody quality for someone whose still only 18-19!
George North is my inspiration, when i play on the wing; I wish i could be him or at least like him.
Would love to see those!! Maybe a Waisale Serevi? Thank you !
George North is my first choice winger for the Lions tour because he is big, fast, strong and plays hard physical rugby
Would love to see some fiji rugby tributes please !! I'm a proud fijian that doesn't see much fiji rugby on youtube. Great videos.
SO pleased he plays for Wales - definately an honorary Welshman!!
I'm a Kiwi and an avid All Blacks supporter...and maaannn I'm damn nervous for when the ABs play Wales in a few weeks... George North is a machine.
George North : Yeah Brooo! You try and tackle me I'll take you on a joy rideeee! YEEEEAAAAAAHHHH BRRRROOOO!
Two top class players. Both player of their time!
Considering how early he is into his career and how he isnt even in his prime, he has a lot more try scoring to do.
He will be one of the greatest players ever!
yeah i'm doing highers, english maths french chemistry and biology :) thanks for the links they are well good
Oh by the way a girl in my school is George north's cousin!
I love all your tribute videos.... would you make a Bryan Habana Tribute please....
fair play :) i'm Scottish too and i think you are making some decent points about our players, kind of wish i was welsh just so we could have some of your players mind cause they are bloody amazing ^ only 19! jesus
Shame he doesn't play for his home nation, what a fantastic player. Huge amount of respect for him.
Welcome to Northampton Saints! Can't wait to see him tear it up in the Aviva Premiership!
So much strength with the ball!
THE BEAST
IKR!!
@MrDramm
Thank you my friend, for information about the name of the song.
very nice this song!
lol brilliant!! I bet Gatland wishes he had 15 George Norths for the upcoming Lions tour
The fact that he's only 19 and has already scored enough tries to make up a pretty sweet 5 minute video shows how
The British and Irish Lions will be unstoppable in Australia.

Song name.... James Dooley-Trinity
You're welcome...
He was such a beast in the second test match against the wallabies
Simply incredible. As an English fan, I'm scared.
the music fits so well...... who is it by anyone know?
The thing i like about North is that he isn't a selfish player. always passes when the time is right and has brilliant off loads. there was at least a couple of runs that he could've gone all the way but passed. Good team player and individual. Plenty more games ahead as well. Can see him shining against France end of this 6 Nations :-) Go WALES!!!!!
This guy is unbeleivable.
The song is great and the video to ! what's the title of the music
North still has a few more years of steady development but when he peaks I think he will be up there with southern hemisphere wingers. His pace and stepping ability at his size are frightening. There are more technical sides to his game such as kicking and competing in the air that need working on but his raw winger ability is there.
Love the music! What song did you use?
One human steam train, don't get in his way, Diolch yn fawr George
He has only 20, already one of the most wingers in the world.
as a welsh man i can't help but appreciate his game but savea has proved to be the much better young winger imho
3:30 - can't forget Gavin Henson! Both legends...
in my opinion, george north is the greatest winger in the game at the moment
Jonah Lomu - 18 years old - 195cm(6 ft 5 - 121kg - 10.8 in 100m - fastest All Black over 10m. Demolished teams single handedly, "Jonah Lomu" was also a game plan on most teams lists. @william preece is that why Israel scored 2 tries on debut? I didn't see north anywhere except eating the dirt from folau's fend
Hello im george north, I play for wales, ive scored 11 trys in 17 matches, im 6ft4,nearly 17stone, i would sit on chris ashton...........................oh and im 19 years old.:)... what a legend

this vid is from 2 years ago, hes way bigger than that now, i got my photo took with him on wed, HES A TANK
"Against the nations like aussies and kiwis he is nothing."
Did you see him for the Lions against the Aussies today? He scored one of the great Lions tries
The power comes from the North!
The power comes from the north!
That lad is a genetic freak..unbelievable

New Zealand are playing Wales in the autumn series I think @benthomas
Such a talent
George North is 1 of the best wingers in the world if not the best
yeah i am scottish, from edinburgh so not big Gaelic speakers down here but still amazing :)
GEORGE NORTH IS QUALITY!!!!!!!
They are both great world class players, if anything there is very little between them and I think we haven't seen the best of either player yet. I am going to enjoy watching him at Saints

Yea sure but it means you appreciate the unpredictable adventurism.....coz that's what they play!
In my house we cry him George The North!
Now he is, but this video was uploaded almost 2 years ago so he'd have been 19/20 back then.
@scrumpoxjnr I sticking to this one. The way he can read the the game and his abillity to put others into space is just to hard to ignore. He would be the conductor for that backline.
Oh there are plenty of Rupeni Caucaunibuca tribute vids too!!
You're right, in fact I've said it myself - Lomu boshed smaller defenders. But still, the stats I mentioned earlier - Lomu was 6'5 and 120kg, while North is 6'4 and 109. Best kicker in the world (which Wales have by da way ) and its Leigh halfpenny
GO ON NORTHY!!!
any haters on here tarnishing this vid should be put on a rugby field and made to face young Mr North......
@Damien9678 Yes, what I was thinking of doing one on Rupeni Caucaunibuca and Sireli Bobo
he is a real talent and he is easily one of my favourite players rite now. but i think he struggled after warburton was not in the team because of the tip tackle he almost looked a lil lost maybe, the whole wales side felt it because beccause sam was the real playmaker with priestland and when they were gone the wheels fell off. agree or disagree?
cant wait to see this lad in a lions shirt

I hope u see the today Lions match... Ask to Barnes if he thinks that North is overrated.. He's still in the fields searching for where he's going
How do you make that out? I thought I saw North carrying Folau over his shoulder.
- this happened every time, bar for that one try, so I don't think it is a case of him "just stepping" North. I also remember him trying that when North didn't have to drift, North just picked him up and drove him backwards (final test).

That try against the springbok looked like obstruct ion
Quality player! Bring on England!
