      The Bee Gees helped start the disco movement and when America turned against that genre, The Bee Gees left us… it was so unfair. The song Disco Duck ruined everything. Their creativity was unmatched. I’ve loved them since I was a teenager in the 70’s.

    1975 was a magical year for BeeGees. This song and Jive Talkin' (both 75 hits) were transitions to 1976 and their first bona fide disco hit, You Should Be Dancing in 1976 So 75 was the transition year between their pre-disco and disco periods.

    Another good reaction! Thanks! Glad you noticed Maurice's falsetto contribution, too. I love Robin's singing, of course, and think it's a treat when Barry uses his very nice lower register... so soft, even when he "belts it out." Talented trio, what else?! See you next time!

    I agree, Maurice shows out some on this song.

    • @Erizedd
      @Erizedd 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      What you're hearing isn't Maurice, it's Barry - this is not the original live version with the original audio where Maurice sings, instead someone has dubbed the studio audio (which is Barry using his falsetto for the first time in a song) over the top of the performance. :/

    • @carolespinoza8452
      @carolespinoza8452 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Its mo💕💕

    • @Erizedd
      @Erizedd 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Ozefan2580 No, he's not. This is the studio version dubbed over the top of the live. As a fan, you _should_ know that, and if you didn't, you can just listen to the studio/album version here on youtube and compare to see (there are also parts at the end where you can see Maurice isn't singing it). The actual live performance with the live audio on it has Maurice singing the falsetto parts, but this version of the 'live' is actually a fan dub.

    • @isebmazo2140
      @isebmazo2140 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Erizedd I have always felt, that unless MO was singing lead on a song, then you never heard him. It felt like he was the one always lip syncing

    • @Erizedd
      @Erizedd 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@isebmazo2140 I know what you mean - it's a lot harder to hear Mo cos he usually just supplies the harmonies and plays the instruments. And don't get me wrong, I understand Maurice's fans frustration because they want him to be recognized by reactors in the same way Barry and Robin are, but spreading misinformation isn't a good thing. That's why I found it such a shame that this was the audio-dubbed version of the live performance, rather then the authentic live performance where Mo _actually_ sung the falsetto parts because Barry couldn't. Maybe Maurice fans could try suggesting a few of the songs where he sung solo? He does write/sing some pretty catchy songs.

    I grew up listening to the Bee Gees, & you have no idea how happy it makes me, to see the younger generation discover the music we fell in love with !!! All three brothers had amazing falsetto's, however, Barry Gibb, in my opinion, has the most unique falsetto, because in his falsetto, he also used his vibrato, which is rare! They were brothers, & Barry is the last one, but please review more of their music, you will not be disappointed. They span over many decades, & crossed quite a few genres. I believe, that if there is music in Heaven, it would sound like the Bee Gee's ❤️❤️

    Da Real Adogg - just thought I'd let you know that the audio you can hear on this live performance is not the actual live audio - someone has dubbed the studio recording over the top. The falsetto you hear in the song (in this audio) is actually Barry, whereas on this original live performance audio Maurice sings the falsetto parts because Barry's normal singing lines cross over his falsetto parts, so Maurice took over in his stead. Also, this was the first Bee Gees song where Barry used his falsetto. :)

    The BeeGees are exceptional, the amazing part of this song is hearing the range in their voices; the arrangement was brilliant

    Most people never realized back then just how great Maurices falsetto was he had a great falsetto almost equal to Barry's.

    Mis amados Bee Gees....tenía yo apenas 9 años, lo recuerdo claramente en 1.976, cuando mi tío Freddy y sus amigos, aquel sábado por la tarde, puso en el tocadiscos el álbum en vivo de Los Bee Gees, eso fue para algo tan especial, yo no paraba de tararear a estos genios de la música...
    Hoy a mis 55 años, los sigo viendo y escuchando cada vez que puedo...!
    Ellos sin lugar a dudas, forman parte de la banda sonora de mi vida..!

    My favorite Bee Gee's song. I saw them in concert in 1978 in Salt Lake City Utah. They were phenomenal. My boyfriend camped out over night in a line to get tickets. They sold out in just a few hours.

    This is a great hit. This is the very song Barry learned he could sing falsetto, they all could do falsetto but Barry actually sang whole songs with his falsetto. Love you inside out a great song done with falsetto. I love the Bee Gees. I have listened my whole life to them. I do appreciate we had them in my lifetime. Love love your reactions.
