    I wonder what Mrs Snow was most surprised about...was it Pollyanna’s bold statement about how she should be happy to be alive that she came to her senses of how she’s wasted all this time thinking she’d die and feeling sorry for herself meanwhile she’s still here, or was it the shock of seeing Pollyanna’s usual calm and cheerful demeanor suddenly burst into rage with words of passion?

      @@patriciajrs46 I think maybe you are right. It was beginning to make it clear to Mrs. Snow that most of her illness was brought among herself. she could get better if she worked at it and tried to enjoy life instead of lying in bed all day thinking she was going to die.
      it would have worked had the coffin-maker not opened his mouth and ruined everything.
      I think that is why Mrs. Snow told the coffin-maker to get lost. she knew that Pollyanna knew what was better for her more than the coffin maker.

    • @biggerock
      @biggerock ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it was simply that someone was finally telling Mrs. Snow what she really needed to hear, and it caught her off guard and made her think.

  • @aminsadeghpour1549
    @aminsadeghpour1549 3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    I hated the coffin maker the first time I saw this movie on V.H.S with my family.
    Pollyanna may have been "just a child" but she makes more sense than him.
    Also, I think it was beginning to "sink into" Mrs. Snow because she wanted to hear Pollyanna's story. In her heart she knew Pollyanna wanted to help her.

  • @DannyM-xe5wc
    @DannyM-xe5wc 3 ปีที่แล้ว +22

    I felt sorry for Mrs. Snow. She basically underestimated herself about dying and Pollyana had taught her that it’s important to be glad that you have good health and should focus on enjoying life. But thanks to the funeral man for being so rude to Pollyana, she unfortunately took out her anger out on Mrs. Snow instead of him from 3:53-4:16. I was glad that Mrs. Snow finally told him to get lost and was able to make quilts for the Bizarre.

    When I first saw this movie with my family I did not really understand the importance of this scene.
    Now I appreciate it a lot more.
    I think this scene teaches two very great lessons to Mrs snow.
    1. Part of her sickness was brought among herself. If she spent more time enjoying things in life and less time lying in bed thinking she was going to die she would get better.
    2. Mrs snow began to feel better about herself. As you may remember she told the coffin maker that Pollyanna seems to be the only person who cared whether she died. She told the coffin maker that it seemed everybody else couldn't wait.
    Furthermore, I hated the coffin maker the first time I saw this movie with my family. Pollyanna may have been just "a child" but she made a lot more sense than him.
