She's amazing. Just an amazing career, one of the top five child actors of all time in my opinion and grew up into a beautiful woman who still managed to bring the same charm she had in her earlier roles to stuff like "Parent Trap 2" and "Miss Bliss". It's also interesting that the plot of PT2 changed along the way. Hayley mentions here that she had a son in the film, when the film was released of course she had a daughter.
As an actress between the ages of 10 and 14 she turned out some of the best performances in cinema history, if you watch Tiger Bay, Pollyanna and the Parent Trap, the way she deals with all the emotions in those movies is unmatched.
Me to, in fact I joined the Hayley Mills fan club in the 60's and did not live far from her dad's farm. Sadly would drive near to the farm, but never did see her.
CHARM EXTRADONAIRE then & now. There is something magic about the idea of Hayley Mills that nobody else quite has in the same way... Feel good would be an understatement.
famous father or not, she is very plesant to watch, even today I enjoy her manorisms and the way she speaks, she is still so pretty in her older years.
I agree with "dugite100". Her parents (father SIRJohn Mills, knighted for his contribution to British theatre, film), did see that she went back to British boarding school, very strict, when not working. She speaks well beause she is educ ated and from an educated family. I hear new "Stars" on talk shows say""he was like, you know,like.." and no one's ever told them how to sit with their knees together. They have no depth or center. Mills was a natural, at ten years old in "Tiger Bay"Class Act!
I do agree that those boarding schools were the best and the society then was a great deal better than today. Very few people were on drugs then compared to today and life in general was a great deal better. Actors today (if you want to call them that - they are complete failures) like Miley Cirus for instance will die of a very tragic death along with the rest of them.
Well spoken and a lady, you can sure see how far the standards for hollywood child stars have fallen lately. I highly doubt Miley Cyrus or any of her peers will ever be mistaken for a lady when she hits adulthood.
@fincaman2 Granted, maybe having a famous father might have helped launch her career, but so did Miley Cyrus. And look at the outcome of them approaching adulthood, of course Hayley already to that point, but look at the difference. Which one would you want for your daughter? Hayley Mills has kept a clean image and been a good role model all these years. Now, Miley Cyrus is not even 18 and her image is already tarnished. If you chose Miley over Hayley, then I think we all assume why.
@Fincaman and about the lyrics being "pathetic" what does that have to do with Hayley SHE didn't write the song did she? the song was wrote for a childrens Disney movie it's allowed to be a bit cheesy!
@Fincaman you insult Hayley but I notice you know the lyrics to lets get together so you must have listened to the song or watched the movie. I've noticed you commented on other Hayley vids, what, is it pay back cause she turned you down in high school? Ha! Granted, her father being John Mills and famous probably did help her career take off but he didn't control her every move on screen, so no idea what you're talkin about with that. And you don't like her, don't search her, its common sense!
CHuck Burket, as someone who was 1 year old in 1961 when Parent Trap came out, but grey up in the sixties when she was stiull in movies I still have a crush on her (but prefer Annette better!LOL(
@dugite100 Don't forget Lindsey Lohan, who reprised Hayley Mills' role in the remake. Lohan gave a good performance in the film. But her conduct in the real world has been pretty questionable to say the least.
"back to boarding school when she wasn't working" sounds like a good place to dump someone who is in the way. I never understood parents who send their children to boarding school. If you dont have time for your kids, why have them. You are missing out on seeing your children growing up which happens very fast.
I loved Haley Mills in the Parent trap that I had to watch it 4 times a day.

I'll always love that woman. She was my very first crush.... God Bless Her Always.

I agree Haley Mills was a great actress liked her in The parent trap, summer magic was a great movie and etc. She still looks good for her age now.
I have a lot of respect for Hayley. She is a great actress and i love her work.

I love the parent trap it's such a good movie
CHARM EXTRADONAIRE then & now. There is something magic about the idea of Hayley Mills that nobody else quite has in the same way... Feel good would be an understatement.
Next month Hayley Mills will be 73. I wish for a Hayley Mills biopic.
Hayley did do a book called forever young. She is now 77,and she is still pretty. Happy birthday Hayley!
I worked in a movie theater in '61 when The Parent Trap came out. I fell in love and still have a crush on her.

she was 13 in tiger bay
The host, of this show, starred in the Disney movie "Island On Top Of The World".
She didn't play both those parts entirely on her own she did have a body double
Haley Mills your amazing I have seen the first parent trap and the Lindsay Lohan version and I Really want to watch the sequel very soon

i saw Parent Trip 2 on T.V the other day ,i thought it was Cheryl Ladd the whole time, was shocked it wasn't when i saw the credits.
He's understandably, fixated on a rose!
+Bevin Chu
Very good point on the different sides to Lindsay lohan, but her entry into movies with 1998's Parent Trap was BEFORE her near breakdown...
Hayley Mills... thats "Ms. Saved by the Bell" to you..
jaredontv The show was actually Good Morning Miss Bliss. It was retitled Saved by the Bell for the syndicated reruns.

Good Morning America: Good Morning Miss Bliss!
Very well put.
Very good remake 😀
@Fincaman and about the lyrics being "pathetic" what does that have to do with Hayley SHE didn't write the song did she? the song was wrote for a childrens Disney movie it's allowed to be a bit cheesy!
sorry, but that's how my tape ended so I just faded it out!
lol I wasn't blaming you, I thought it was the news station.
How dare you cut her off at the end!
I like movies of Disney

@Hayleysongbird1 Same with my mom lol

Lindsay Lohan should do the sequel to

Kylie Minogue twin!!!
So... Nobody is going to mention she had a daughter in the movie not a son? Lol :)
It sounds like nothing had been written at the time she did this interview, just a basic story that changed to a daughter later on.
she was wrong they didn't have a little boy its a girl
Intrvew review Documenty biography oascr awesome awards New Disneyland and Disney movie's tour VIP company classic Covat visit it's bad can help

Hayley's a fox.
Keep in mind, according to her that movie wasn't even official yet so she may not have known all the details at that point.
Hayley is still the best!! My childhood idol!
