I was fortunate enough to be there at the concert and it was brilliant from start to finish. This Grand March opened proceedings and what an opening it was! The church is lovely and Tom’s videography has captured it beautifully.
This rendition with organ is great for one of my favorite pieces: The Triumphant March of Aïda! To see the opera with the Egyptian costumes, etc. is a magnificent sight to behold!
It's a piece that really allows the organ to show what it is capable off! Ably assisted by an amazing Organist. Its got Welly. I would have it at My Funeral as I make my grand entrance!!
Stunning performance of one of the finest of organ transcriptions as performed on this thrilling large 4 manual Binns organ and with its glorious Tuba mirabilis ranks which this exciting organist accomplishes; glorious photography by Tom, his piano virtuoso brother; this does not sound like the Lemare transcription; no doubt, this is Jonathan's own transcription!!
After listening to Jonathan Scott perform these classic arrangements I’ve taken an entirely different view and respect for just how powerful a sound the organ possess, simply genius!!He brings every masterpiece to its fullest listening potential in a new way!! Bravo!!
I have mentioned this before... Playing an organ is far more than knowing where to put your fingers and feet. It's also knowing which combination of stops at what points of the music to use to produce the most appropriate sound. Jonathan does all of that perfectly.
Bravo Maestro Scott..... You did a magnificent job of the AIDA..... You are a great inspiration to We in the organist community of what is possible....
A wonder piece of stirring and uplifting music superbly played by Jonathan as always with everything he plays. I have seen and heard a few organists play in my time but none of them compare to Jonathan’s incredible talent in my book. All of his performances are always enhanced by Tom’s wonderful recording and filming. What a combined talent these two brothers are.
Thank you both for this video showing Jonathan's wonderful arrangement of this familiar tune. Thank you Tom for the skillful way you showed us the gorgeous building and beautiful instrument - captivating!!
I think I’m the first to comment as someone actually at last night’s concert! This piece opened a wonderful programme, as always a beautifully varied selection of items, which (again as always) I didn’t want to end. Thank you so much for this sound-and-sight ‘souvenir’.
Wow! Another terrific arrangement! It equals the orchestral version, in my view! I'd love to see the rest of the concert, and more of the church. I'm becoming a fan of the architecture of English churches!
Very beautiful this song and also the opera. Jonathan performed very well as usual. Congratulations! Sometimes I wonder how he manages to play the organ so well in such cold places like Europe. I think I would freeze. ☃️❄️
One of my favourite pieces of music. Thank you! My parents had the choral arrangement on record and I always loved the delicious harmonies and nuances Verdi used, especially in the opening section.
I took a photo a few years ago from Clitheroe Castle, looking towards the cement works. To the right of that is an unknown church with a large steeple. I didn't notice when shooting it, but the picture has a steeplejack right at the very top of the steeple, Fred Dibnah style (though not him as it was after he died). Seeing the closing pic of the church has finally identified the church for me, with its distinctive flying buttresses at the top of the tower/base of the steeple. Loved the music, by the way, even though I generally do not like opera.
¡Gracias!
Bravo Jonathan! You make every organ sound magnificent. You are truly a wonderful organist 👏👏🎶❤️
Not all orchestral music lends itself to the organ. This piece clearly does!
Honestly, it sounds like a piece that was originally written for organ, it sounds absolutely incredible for organ! Well played!
He’s really good at that😂
ABSOLUTELY, I EVEN THINK IT SOUNDS BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL!
I was fortunate enough to be there at the concert and it was brilliant from start to finish. This Grand March opened proceedings and what an opening it was! The church is lovely and Tom’s videography has captured it beautifully.
I know envy is one of the seven deadly sins so I will confess to being envious of your being there!
That is one hell of an instrument…..or perhaps I should say one heaven of an instrument……for a small town like Clitheroe.
Einfach Spitzenklasse. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
What a terrific, vintage sound!
This rendition with organ is great for one of my favorite pieces: The Triumphant March of Aïda!
To see the opera with the Egyptian costumes, etc. is a magnificent sight to behold!
beautiful organ, beautiful venue, beautiful performer
Magnificent parish church organ and performance.
It's a piece that really allows the organ to show what it is capable off! Ably assisted by an amazing Organist. Its got Welly. I would have it at My Funeral as I make my grand entrance!!
Bravo! Thank you Jonathan and Tom for another memorable performance.
I love Aida! This is a wonderful march!
Bravo Great Performance !!!!!!!
As always a great musical treasure
This is perfect performance, and perfect organ for this performance!
This tune was my wedding march, played on pipe organ. It was amazing....
That was a great idea, Aida is so romantic and Verdis music is very
emotional.
Chosen over La Donna E Mobile ?
@@PMA65537 yes, because ""La Donna E Mobile" is not a march.😀It's a waltz.

Amazing, dear Jonathan! 🌹
Beautiful I really enjoyed 💖😳
Bravo! No disappointments here!
I too had the privilege and pleasure of attending this wonderful and joyful concert. Thank you both so much, Jonathan and Tom! So deeply appreciated!

Wonderful registration. Thank you!
BRAVO!!!!!
GLORIOUS! MAGNIFICENT!!
I have so much respect for people who can do this! I couldn’t even manage to play the recorder at school.

This is music from heaven!!!! So well played by a master of the organ! Thank you from the USA.

Another outstanding performance on a lovely sounding organ

Que delicia sería escucharlo en vivo nomás de pensar se me saldría el corazón ❤️ de la emoción 😢
Wow!!!! Fantastic performance!!!!

Herzlichen Dank für dieses wunderbare Orgelspiel. Ich mag Verdi und ich liebe Orgeln!!
Très beau morceau d orgue 👏👏👏👍👍💞💞
Grazie, Maestro.
Wonderful!
Uploaded 2 days after I saw the opera, what a coincidence

Stupendous!! 🏳🌈
Bravissimo!
The haven's orchestre in a only instrument, great!
💖
Splendid.
My mother had this played as her Bridesmaids entered the church.
That is not only novel but ingenious!!! I never thought of that! However it would have been just as great if your mother walked in with them!
Bravo!!!
BRAVO!
I was married at city hall & had the music recorded. People were impressed.
Grande interpretazione, con la massima solennità
Bravo

Belíssimo.🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌅
8 foot solo tromba?
Аида Массады
The only disappointing thing about this performance is that we didn't hear a much-deserved rousing applause at the end.
