Oh cool, I bet you come across some cool material across your travels. This is another spot off of i70 up by Silverthorne CO. TenMile Creek Pull Off th-cam.com/video/6e49gBvKNEk/w-d-xo.html
If your ever traveling down i17 in Arizona from Between Flagstaff and Phoenix most of the rest stops you can find some beautiful chunks of Marie Ellen Jasper walking around.
Oh yeah, I'm often surprised by the variety that can be found on the roadside. Plus, jumping out of a truck with my rock hammer in hand seems to discourage the truck stop crazies from approaching me. 😎 next time I'm traveling I-17 I'll definitely be looking for that jasper!
Ty for taking me along, I absolutely love this spot you picked! I was surprised by all the wildflowers, and the Dipper didn’t seem at all fazed by you watching him get a snack ;). I’m constantly amazed by the animals feathers or fur and just how well they blend in their hunting area’s🤗🤘
Just realized that supposedly there's Trilobites that can be found just a bit upriver from here! You didn't happen to see any cool marine fossils, did you? 🤣
Lol that’s cool info to know. Thanks for sharing and no I didn’t see any marine fossils in this area. I’ll check it out more next time I’m there when the snow melts.
Normally yes, this place was just a spot I decided to stop and checkout as I was driving by like i mentioned. You can find beautiful places and rocks anywhere you go. Have a great day 😁
Super beautiful! I live in Southwest Colorado, Durango area. Not sure if you've made it down this way yet? If not I'd like to invite you to come down and do some houndin' with me. I'm 5th generation from here and know of some incredible places to go. 💚🪨⛰️
I'm a rockhound and a trucker, so finding rest areas like this is always a treat!

I’m thinking their a type of feldspar that’s more opaque. Thanks for watching Lisa.

Do you belong to any of the local gem and mineral clubs
No I do not but I do refer people to the GJ club all the time.
Don't you do some (web/book) research before going to recce an area?
