Brought back memories of when I was 8 years old back in 1982 being there with my grandparents. O the magic of that place forever instilled in me. Good video
I was in Yellowstone last Saturday looking at the falls. It started to rain really hard at about 5 pm. My family and I got out of there right before the North road collapsed near Mammoth Hot Springs.
My girlfriend and I were literally talking about going to Yellowstone in September the night before the flooding happened. I'm so saddened and I hope no person or animal was hurt. I hope to still see Yellowstone in the future as it looks like one of the most amazing places on earth.
@@TheHamsterMaster You can still go to Grand Teton. I imagine most of the park will reopen by then. I've been twice, and want to go again, after I go to alaska a few more times first.
This is the first time I've ever seen footage of Yellow stone . I've fished and hunted the mountains of WV and it intrigues me to think how long these mountain rivers have been forming the gorges. Thank you for sharing this video. It's magnificent.
It's sad this happened I was there with my parents in the 3rd week of May 2012 we drove my dad's new 2012 GMC pickup truck from Phenix City,AL almost 2 day drive going there we stay at oil faithful inn lodge first 3 days and next 3 days in the mammoth hot springs area where it was called years ago Fort Yellowstone Great memories i hope they get it back like it was one day because I would like to visit it again one day
Thanks for showing us the falls, I remember the park when we traveled there during the wildfires. When we left California, there were no fire threat, but upon arriving the entrance was closed (thanks to lightning ignited fires), so we were forced to drive (at 13 years old is seemed like) hours to get the other entrance where we set up camp around midnight. Shortly after this, we were evacuated from our camp, and told where to relocate. What started as a trip in the wrong place at the wrong time, turned into sheer luck for the duration of our stay. Not only did we see elk, moose, herds of bison, and a momma grizzly with three cubs down in a meadow trying to flea, but each basin and feature we visited were consumed and closed by fire shortly after. A couple years later we went back to see how the park was rebounding, despite evidence of fire throughout the park, we found new life in undergrowth and baby trees as well. The most memorable feature remained unchanged, Yellowstone Falls; which was the first place I tried to find when I heard about the floods hoping somebody would upload. These falls are incredible without floods, I could only imagine what they roared like now. Then, I found your upload! Thank you for sharing with us! Mother nature can take life in amazing forms, but is the supreme giver of life here on earth- it just takes time! On a side note. . . what the heck happened to those beautiful pools in the terraces???
Haven’t been to Yellowstone for 60 years, but I remember all the splendor and the bears coming into the camp ground. It was a great vacation for a 12 year old. Would love to go back.

I absolutely loved this video, thank you for sharing your adventure. I can't at this time afford vacations do to kids in private college and a brutal economy. God bless you for sharing, I will make it there in the next 5 years, God willing.
Beautiful!!! Y'all realize there's a massive volcano under all that beauty and its getting more active by the day. Mud doesn't percolate for no reason and those springs don't bubble for no reason......crazy times we live in!!
Yes, we know. And the percolating you speak of, its what is keeping the pressure from building up. Its when they stop, you need to be concerned....in a few million years,of course
In 1977 I travelled from the UK to Idaho Falls to stay live relative's for approximately two months. During this trip we travelled throughout Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. I especially recall our very full day spent in the spectacular Yellowstone national park.
I miss Yellowstone. My first visit to Yellowstone and Grand Teton was during the Memorial Day weekend in 2017. So sad the park is closed currently, and I was just reminiscing about going back
Great video. I have only ever seen the falls from the road down hill . Amazing stuff .both times I was with friends with a Schedule. Next time I take my own dear sweet time. I prefer to enjoy stop and smell the Roses. 😁 last time I had to fallow they had the food / B.B.Q. and most of the gear . I wanted to peel of and do my own thing but three days on Beef jerky and water ? The Prime rib part of me won
It’s interesting seeing the water fall volume, speed etc. Given that Yellowstone is also Volcanic. It resembles Huka River and Falls in Volcanic Taupo New Zealand so much.
I love Yellowstone and Wyoming. In my 62 years I have been there 7 times. I should be there this October as part of an elk hunt in the Wyoming/Montana area
I was glad to get in three days of exploring Yellowstone before they shut it down. I felt sorry for my family members that only got to visit the park on Sunday.
The snow/ice around the great falls... how much had to be built up for it to last until mid-June! I've been there in February and not seen that much hanging there.
I have plans to go next month & booked my cabin as closest I can get which is Island Park, ID since everyone in Yellowstone was booked. I hope to at least visit the park since we’re coming far. Any suggestions what to do in ID since I’m not familiar?
I have seen these rivers and waterfalls many times, but not under these conditions. This is how the landforms of the planet are shaped. Watch and enjoy!
I been wanting to go here for years and a year and a half I set up a trip out there and was supposed to leave this Sunday but now had to cancel it sucks but I guess I will wait another year.
Seeing this in Spring. And seeing it in winter. Just reminds me of Gods love and power. Just awestruck beauty.
Thanks for capturing this powerful event. Beautiful footage.
We had reservations for Yellowstone for this week. We had canceled them last April due to the gas prices. God thank you for giving me ears to hear.
Earthquakes, fires and floods. Over a relatively short time we watch Yellowstone change. Thanks for posting. Brings back memories.
Gorgeous scenery. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful color of the water!!!

Yea the Grand Tetons are awesome and I’m sure at least half of Yellowstone will be open by then.

Check out some Glacier Nat'l Park video. I think it's even better than YS.
WV is pretty but very very small potatoes compared to what’s out West my friend
Wow how beautiful this was gorgeous video you had before the floods
Awesome video!! 😍😍

Yellowstone National Park without a doubt one of the most beautiful places in the Universe.
Where else have you been to, in the universe, other than Earth?

Huka Falls are on Waikato river
We literally left hours before the flood started. How sad! Love Yellowstone
So glad I went last year and got to ride the Beartooth and the north side of the park. Might be a while til I can go there again
Wow.. Stunning ❤️
The beauty of nature is here !
They always have restrooms at Nat Park waterfalls, as the noise of the falling water gets people in the pee mood.
That's a random amusing comment... and true.
