This was easeiest spading ever. Full load of aimed bombs, 4 AIM 9Ls, and you can still outclimb anyone and rain death from above, undetected. Nasty little thing.

The sea harriers will be getting their missing IFF for their radars with the next major update. The current radar is a copy paste of the F5E.
This will be quite handy for sim players :)

Wish the br changed based on the loadout you choose, it would be nice to get paired in 10.3 if i equip the 9G's or single 9L's for each wing/the pair but just on one wing, would also help with balancing other planes with bad performance-good missiles (looking at you su25, getting downtiered with planes without flares, or getting uptiered into top tier in the BM case)

I think it was a great video but you missed mentioning that relying on the Radar to identify enemy targets from friendly ones in Sim.
Great video as always Tim! One thing to note: at 2:48 you flash the live-server radar statcard, which will unfortunately be out of date very soon. On the dev server, the Ferrari Blue Fox *does* have IFF, which it doesn’t say on that statcard because it doesn’t on the live server. On the plus-side it will be a lot better in sim to avoid teamkill.

I have a small recommendation. When in video, you talk about CCIP and so on. It may be helpful for the passing viewer to have a text item in comment or in description that outlines what the things mean.

Boy oh boy! My love for this beauty dates back to Microprose's Dogfights!
One of my favorite planes to fly, using the viffing feels like im on the planes from robotech, i got a talisman for it on a crate (luckiest day of my life) sadly im still on tier 3 on brit tree so instead of 300xp for vehicle i get a whooping 600xp, once the grinding changes arrive and i finally reach tier 6 this will be my n°1 grinder
It's a great way to skip the pain of rank V/VI.
Now the repair costs are a bit better, I should give those another chance, but the Sea Harrier is such a good workhorse to grind the TT. I'm by no means a great pilot, but I have a 2+ K/D on it and occasional ace games.

@@camilorodriguez5602 it's, IMO, the best of the bunch. 4x9Ls but it's still at a manageable BR. IDK how much better the GR.7 can be to be at 11.7

@LordGangrel Trust me, you want to try the rank V british jets. The Swift F.7 is probably my favourite jet in the game!
The Javelin is also a very unique jet!
In general out of all rank V TTs the British one is where I've had most fun grinding it.

IIRC the rockets are the same ones the Buccaneer S1 gets (the S2 may have them as well), if that is the case don't try to use them! They are so weak anything that isn't entirely unprotected will be just about immune. And there aren't many open tops at 10.7, though you can probably use them on howitzer and AAA emplacements in ARB, but thats about it.
Not once in this thing have I managed to get to the bases in time to bomb them. If you want to bomb bases sideclimb up as high as you can and wait for the bases to respawn, then use CCRP to nail them. Or just go after enemy aircraft and mop up ground targets at the end of the game for less mental anguish and better rewards anyways.
It's a much better killer than bomber, that's for sure
I had a lot of luck flying around and then along the enemy bases whilst waiting for them to respawn, sending missiles when I encountered bomber hunters.
@@greystash1750 You don't even need to go near them if you use CCRP. You can toss bombs from 10k up across the map with laser precision.

Squadron vehicles never go below 2,200 GE. So I only research them until they get to that point because researching any further is just wasted time since the cost doesn't go down anymore. I don't mind spending 2,200 to start researching another vehicle.

I have the Firecrest, Su-22 and Harrier. I love them all. If the rest of the squadron vehicles are anything close to those, then they're all more than worth it.
The current cockpit on the Sea Harrier is incorrect. All Gaijin did was use the GR.3 cockpit and replace the map with the radar scope. This is incorrect, as the Sea Harrier always had a completely different cockpit from the GR.1 and GR.3. As well as the instrument layout being completely different, the Sea Harrier also had a bubble canopy and the pilot's seat was raised 11 inches for a better all round view. I don't have access to the dev server, but I am hoping the correct cockpit gets added with this upcoming update, now that they have added the Sea Harrier FRS.1 early.
Viffing was not used by Sharkey Ward and his pilots in the Falklands and Mr Ward had a very high 1v1 record against all aircraft . Something like 23-1 against F-15s and took on 1v 4 2 Aggressor guys and 2 f-15s and won. Amazing pilot. Viffing would lose you planes energy and get you killed.
I hope this video is as good as the others.
10.7 Britain might be fun playing casually if you don't want to grind out the entire tree, having this plus the soon to be added Indian T-90.

Boy, I sure do love getting slapped out of the sky by an AIM-9L while I'm trying to bomb bases in my 10.0 F-105D with no air spawn and no countermeasures.
I think I have the second Squadron vehicle to research. Because the A4E Early just doesn't cut it to me. BTW, I can't find how I can leave a Squadron (since I'm the only one left and I don't know how much progress I made since the A4E Early)?
With the way that BR is going to 12.3 for top planes, the squadron SHAR might have a happy times moment soon, if not, this patch has a 10.3 version with the 2 missiles only, which arguably will be a better choice as its BR bracket lets it hunt targets much more within its own flight capability. They also added the SHARs actual cockpit now too as its currently using a placeholder.
To have to fight another jet with aim 9ls that can be downtiered to 9.3 flarless jets just sucks honestly
@@unitedfront9717Would be solved with BR decompression if Gaijin ever does that. Move either everything with flares up, or move flareless things and the SHAR down, or both.
I got this thing almost as fast as you could get the squad points, and since then, I've aced the crew for free. In all that time and those matches, I might've gotten 10 full uptiers, tops. And I haven't counted them, but I'm almost sure I got more full downtiers than 11.3 matches.
The current matchmaker is VERY generous with it. We'll see if top tier dragging only 11.3+ up counters the F-5E, A-10 and Su-25 spam or if 10.7 stays the glorious sweet spot it is now.
Is it unusual that I went supersonic then, it was about a 3 percent dive but the wings never broke
Is there any reason why you lock people with radar before shooting IR missiles? Seems like would it negate the element of surprise of IR missiles if they are not paying attention in all directions around them but maybe I'm missing something? (I know some missiles can slave to radar but I don't see a benefit of that honestly)
Many reasons, but primarily for radar slaving IR missiles, as you mentioned.
It has a niche in sim where a tws lock is enough to slave a missile. A poor man's irst

Look all the happy talk is great, but its a fat, slow sitting duck. It suffers from being OP for lower brackets, but too vulnerable for its current bracket. If you get left alone you can kick ass, but if someone finds you, you are just dead. there is no way to avoid, counter or escape from.

Its tiny, and half transparent, and even then only covers the bottom line or two of the kill feed - it scrolls pretty far up past it - but the point of my videos isn't to try and show off some time I went double ace, the kill feed is one of the *least* important details. That said, this is the first time in almost 3 years now across several hundred vids that anyone has mentioned it.
