    I'm here on Cebu and Odette did nothing to our metal roof and it over hangs about 8 feet and the overhang is polycarbonate and the metal roof is ribbed style at .5mm thick. My options here was .3mm, .4mm, .5mm, .6mm thick. Neighbors with .3mm roofs were peeled back and blown away but I also thick they had umbrella nails while I used the roofing screws.

    A Video explaining insulation would be helpful, coming from America I am still wrapping my head around how constructions works here. So For walls I believe just using the r value from the aac blocks and concrete then for roof you said you will just do a double sided foil under the metal roof (plus light color). With a vented soffit will you also have some insulation in the ceiling above the 2nd floor roof to separate attic (vented part) from living area?

Looks like you’re not to far from completion,I’m actually really interested in seeing the final cost of everything…my guess is it has to be somewhere around the 3m pesos mark,nothing wrong with that,beast of a house. You’ll have that sold in a day for double what you put into it , if you guys decide to keep building, need to keep the channel going to many subscribers to leave hanging.

    Love learning from your channel. I know it’s not a practical question. How would you compare the AAC block vs concrete with rebar on areas like, R value and coolaide man strength. Reason for asking. My area gets occasional Hurricanes. Wouldn’t want a big rouge blue trash can bring down the cabin. Thanks again for your videos.

    • @TheRichardArmstrong
      @TheRichardArmstrong  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well actually the Rvalue is same as 2 feet of blown insulation. And the AAC itself has been tested with bullets. Not by me though🤣🤣🤣... it was actually more difficult for us to tear down our AAC vs a chb wall. Bit to be honest. So many people keep wanting a comparison I may just build 2 walls. And do a demo!!! Lol

We have not yet decided much on construction but do you suggest putting insulation under the roof? Do you suggest double glazed windows… tinted or reflective? Do you suggest insulating the outside walks and inside walls?
    I am thinking of a/c for each bedroom and 1 more in living area… thoughts? I would also be open to suggestions on brands of insulation and windows please?

    You should have made concrete roof in the second floor aswell, because of the frequent storms in the Philippines. Its only one time investment, in future concrete rates will be doubled as well.
    You will also get extra space for terrace as well. Shed roof will is no match for Philippines weather.
