I think they are more suseptible to extreme, even mild heat, given that liquid ammonia is only stable at lower temperatures. It was mentioned that if a human touched a thargoid we would probs give it extreme burns on contact, hence why settlements and installations they raid drop rapidly in temperature.

I don't think we should be killing the Thargoids. Something is not right with all this. I have been watching another youtuber, Zm4rc0, and he also does a lot of detailed videos. He made a good point in one of his videos that the Thargoids never really attack you on sight unless you have one of their items. They damage stations, but they don't destroy them, and apparently some of the stations were Aegis related. It seems like they are looking for something, and trying to get us ready for the other group of hostile Thargoids that they are fleeing from, but the group that we are currently dealing with don't seem hostile themselves.
Yeah that's a well established theory and as to the fact that fdev added zeno friend decals it does have some possible validity. Personally I think that these encounters are two rival factions of thargoids and that the klaxians are being controlled by some other race. FDev loves the number 3 it seems. Thanks for the watch.
There is one instance where they will attack you on sight and that is if you drop into a NHSS with scouts. Those little buggers don't care who you are or what you're carrying. If an interceptor is with them, it will be instantly hostile as well. Now, does that mean all the scouts are part of a hostile faction only? Time will tell. You can also get attacked if you take an escape pod they were targeting. I joined the AX community once I got tired of being attacked in an unarmed ship for just trying to evac humans stranded by Thargoid attacks.
Thargoids have taken many, many humans and we have no idea their purpose in doing so. Are they trying to create their version of the Mycoid Project? Are they creating sleeper agents across the bubble? Does Tharg the Mighty enjoy human treats as a sometimes snack? Many unanswered questions, and Tharg refuses to communicate with us to reach an understanding (similar to their refusal to communicate with the Guardians even though the Guardians had deciphered the Thargoid language).
@@folcotook3049 i think fdev has not taken it into the game and changed the lore and I remember Drew Wager saying that as well.
And the question is why is humanity not officially communicating with thargoids, thargoids communicated with humanity in the past, so someone needs to find that translator again.

There is a group that explores the possible peaceful side of the thargoids.

@@MATTIUS With a cursory search I found that Veliaze had a planet named New Africa. There are two systems in ED that have planets named New Africa. Epsilon Indi and Zelada. I've spent quite a bit of time in Epsilon Indi as it's the home of Mitterand Hollow. But I'm going to check out Zelada and see if there's anything resembling a lead there.
@@MATTIUS I jumped into Zelada and found a POI that references ships going missing and the speculated connection to the Thargoids.
Why would an alien race use alphabet to write "tharg" on his/her ship hull? Didnt devs watched Predator movies?
