I have had subscriptions to all three. Sew Magazine is the first one I’ve unsubscribed from, mainly because too many of the free patterns included in that mag were for small sizes only (I’m size UK 16, which isn’t particularly large). I agree with you, Love Sewing Mag was uninspiring this month, and last month, but I liked the Simply Sewing patterns. Great to have a unisex pattern. The other thing I notice. It’s really easy to see what patterns are being offered within the Simply Sewing Mag. If I pick up the other two in a shop it’s almost impossible to see which patterns are included. One more point. Simply Sewing Mag subscription comes through the post packaged in paper. The other two are still wedded to plastic packages. So, for lots of reasons, Simply Sew gets my vote!
Thanks for the comparison and update on prices. Very helpful If you're thinking about signing up for a subscription, I know that Love Sewing did a great intro deal of 3 issues for ~£6. I'm not sure if that offer is still available but I know they usually do freebies with yearly subscriptions.
Always a fun video even though I don’t get the magazines. I love looking through magazines but it’s so much fun watching you do it and I love your comments.
Thanks for reviewing these magazines. I live in Japan and subscribed to Simply Sewing this spring. Sadly, I have not yet received my first magazine, which was supposed to be the April issue. FYI, I believe Simply Sewing was the only British sewing magazine available to me here, so very excited to get an English language magazine with English language patterns!
Like yourself, I’m slowly warming to Sarah, but loving the contestants 😍
Great to hear all about the magazines and I’m pleased you didn’t have to go to lots of different shops to pick up the magazines this time 😊💖

Love sewing subscriptions only have 2 patterns as opposed to three that you get buying on the shelf.

Thank you! I just downloaded 2 free patterns from sew magazine. Now if you could only tell me how I can watch The GB sewing bee in the USA. 😭
Please tell me if pdf patterns from love sewing magazine include seam allowance??and do you have sizing chart
💰👍👌🏾😍
Something to note with simply sewing the paper patterns are all double sided now so you have to trace them 😐 I'm not a fan off tracing!
I discovered this too. I also found the instructions brief. I have decided to stick to buying patterns I like and skip buying magazines.
