    Hey! I am a high school senior who is interested in law. Could you please make a video elaborating on the extra-curricular activities you did in undergrad that helped your law school application? That would be very helpful :) love your videos btw!!

    There is no limit to taking the LSAT. Law schools, however, will be able to see all your scores. Don't take it too many times.

    I genuinely appreciate your videos! As a first generation Asian American and the only one in my family to ever receive an undergraduate degree, you have given me true guidance. At times I feel lost and am not sure how to navigate the path towards getting into a top law school however you have provided information that has truly helped me. I appreciate your time and I thank you for helping those that are trying to follow the same path. =D

    Really like your videos.
    to be honest the way you talk is exactly how I think a lawyer should be: very clear, very thorough, well organized and presented in a very listener-friendly demeanor

    I'd say 3 take on the Lsat max. Any more and it looks bad. The bottom line is though, no school averages so only your top score "counts".

    Awesome videos! Thank you for all of the great info on law schools (beauty is less my thing haha). I was just wondering if you would be willing to do a video on how students should or can spend the summer before their 1L year to adequately prepare for the upcoming challenge based on what you did or what you wish you would have done to prepare or even if you have any feedback from the other law students you go to school with did or wish they had done? I'm getting ready to enter law school in the Fall and right now it's between Tulane and University of Oklahoma (pretty sure I'm going to be a Sooner though because the price is way lower than Tulane and them law school loans are no joke haha. Anyway thank you so much for the great videos you do.

    hi there! great video, I'm about to graduate with my undergrad and plan to go to law school after a year off. My question for you is, did you volunteer or have internships/work at law firms prior to going to law school? if so, how did you get these job opportunities? I have applied to several places but all required a lot of experience, any tips on this?

    I think people who want to go into law should already be thinking of the type of law they want to practice, BEFORE they go to law school. I mean, why go to a top tier law school and pay top prices, if you are only going to practice family or criminal law, which are generally low paying. What if nothing appeals to you? In addition, you can find schools that specialize more in one speciality than another. Just my guess, but Stanford, being near silicon valley, might have some good courses in IP law?

      Actually, depending on the attorney's experience & locale, family law can be very lucrative. I practice family law in North Carolina. People are willing to spend money on divorce cases or even borrow money from relatives.

    • @bgates275
      @bgates275 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@aalegalfocus Well, thinking about it a little bit further, you could be right. Like what if you are handling a case between the rich and famous that could drag on for years? But like any kind of law, I'd expect there to be a huge variance here, with only a fairly small percentage of family lawyers making really good money.

    • @aalegalfocus
      @aalegalfocus 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bgates275 yes, that's true. Some recent graduates try to do family law but have difficulty getting good paying clients. Are you a law student?

    • @bgates275
      @bgates275 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@aalegalfocus Actually, no. Currently, I'm doing something else, but still have the idea in the back of my head.

    Love the video! currently a freshman at csun for financial reasons, im wondering if it will be worth spending the extra 10k a year to transfer to ucla? do law schools really take into account the “prestige” of where you get your undergrad?

    • @tj5143
      @tj5143 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      hey im a OL so take what i say with a grain of salt. I've heard undergrad institution is irrevelant, as long as the school is accredited, because schools only care about your #'s (LSAT and GPA). So, if you're doing well at your current school then i wouldn't bother changing as long as you can get a great LSAT score.

    It would be funny if you arn't even practicing law in 5 years from now, after all that time, money and effort. Something that stuck with me when I was getting a degree notarized (for Korea. LOL). I told him I was thinking of going into law, and he told me, he had been doing it for 40 years, and the best part after the whole thing was law school. Don't get me wrong, this was in a really swanky part of town near the Korean embassy, but man did he seem bitter.
