just got a commander style NightHawk "Tri-Cut" .. very rare gun, made originally so their gunsmith Brian Chaney could be inducted into the pistol smith guild but made in very limited numbers and discontinued in 2022.... what a work of art!
I have a TRS Commander and I absolutely adore it. shoots as flat or more flat than any of my comped guns.. amazing craftsmanship all around. cant wait for a SandHawk
What comped guns have you compared it to? I’m really considering one but also considering an Atlas Ares ported or the new Combat Precision M5 ported that is soon to be released. I’m currently at staccato level but looking to level up. Also, do you know if they make it in steel and aluminum? The one I’m looking at is a lightweight frame.
Great gun, great review. I just bought the TRS Commander last week. I shot the staccato xc and trs back to back and didn’t notice any difference in felt recoil, in fact we all agreed that the trs felt a little softer compared to the comped xc. What are your thoughts? The XC did have a way lighter trigger thatI fell in love with, but that can be changed on any gun.
The commander shoots like a much larger gun, it’s strange but amazing. It also done videos on the Sandhawk, the XC and a video comparing the XC and sand hawk
Another good review bruh. I commented on one of your other Nighthawk reviews that I didn't like that a pin had to be used to remove spring. Nice as this gun look and your review got me rethinking about this one. Thanks for sharing.
Great gun, I'd never buy an nighthawk to carry, too expensive to potentially lose if I have to use it, in my opinion definitely want one just to have and shoot for recreational purposes
Sandhawk is a larger gun with a built in comp. The Sandhawk shoots softer but is to big for carry, the commander could be a good Jack of all trades gun- edc, home defense, range, etc
You brought up a great point about exepnsive guns which I agree with 100 percent. If we have that much EXtRA cash burning a hole in our pocket then by all mean buy that $5000 gun. fBut it would NOT be the gun I'd use for "defnensive reasposn" knwoing full well the police will ttake the gun till I'm cleared...howevrer long that takes. Ratgher use a 4500 Glock Gen4 18 MOS or the like. As good as Naighthawks are....i personally find it hard to justify the buy for MY own ueage ....range only. I find it hard to justify a $17000 gun for "range fun" for what i'm doing.....putting holes in a sheet of paper over and over :)) But I have spent 41700 on a 1811..heh...had a little "buyer's remorese" honestly...."I spent this much to do THIS? for this muh gains over a Glock 19?? Ummm..."...... Time to buy some lottery tickets :) I mean it' not about he $sum spent ...it's about rh $ for a product I don't see "enough gains" for my use...vs sports cars....the differences are night/DAY no mater where you're driving or your skill level....iinside and out....
Everyone gets 1 life and some people can afford to spend extra for Quality,Performance, and Collecting. Nighthawk isn’t your price range that’s all. If the shooting was justified which it should be if u have to fire your weapon you’ll get it back and you’ll be ALIVE. some people can afford to have a $5000 pistol to save there life and 20years of flawless record. Yeah my life is worth well over $5000😂
Damn why do guns like this exist? So pretty and expensive I wouldn’t want to carry but so sexy and nice you want to carry it… gotta buy 2 one to carry and one safe Queen 😆

The aggressive metal grip was introduced at Shot and can be ordered on new builds now.

I’m about to sell all my guns just to have this and my Wilson cqb commander. Maybe keep the p365 since it’s all custom at this point. 🤷🏻♂️
