I love how u actually start communicating with them instead of just giving up or firing them.

This is SO GOOD! I've worked on many teams in the past that did not function well as a result of interpersonal challenges. Wish we could have all sat and watched your videos together...it would have helped us get to that "heart of the intention" which is so important.

Heather! Yeah you are totally right on that one. Interpersonal challenges really keep back the team. Thanks so much for watching!

I would first give myself time to think and focus on identifying the real needs and interests of the other person and then myself!

I wish you didn’t have background music.

I'm so sorry that the background music was a distraction. None of my newer videos over the past two years have the music in the background. Hopefully you will find the newer stuff easier to digest.

I am walking into a new position as a assistant site supervisor. Do you have any advice of what should I do on the first day?

Hi there Humaira - normally I don’t respond to messages like this but I think I would be doing you a disservice by not. I believe you are here because you are looking for a way to improve your leadership capacity which requires effectively communicating.
Id like to provide you some feedback on how to provide critical feedback in this instance. Here’s an effective way od saying the same thing : Hi, I came here to get information on how to deal with a difficult employee however I wasn’t able to glean any info because of the music. For feedback, it would be helpful if you remove the background music. Thank you.
Providing feedback like this with dignity is more likely to be received. Something we want to apply in life in general and of course within the context of people management. Thank you
