Thank you, Mak, you are awesome. In the early 1980s I attained my first management position at 25 years old. My training in leadership was as a lay minister in my Christian faith, and as a Scoutmaster. I was working in a factory environment. Blue collar manufacturing in both Australia and New Zealand may as well have been in the 1940s. They wanted Machiavellian ruthless bastards in most management positions where you were supervising males, especially with English migrants to Australia and New Zealand. They brought their old socio-economic class resentments with them. I will be sixty-nine in six months' time. I am retired but am helping a friend with his not-for-profit eLearning business. I have been studying Leadership for fifty years. Finally, people like you with good values who respect people are making an impact. I am never too old to learn something new every day. I clicked on a link in your email to arrive here. I am glad I did. It is 3.30 AM here in Sydney Australia. I need to go back to bed. I will watch more of your videos. Thank you for making a difference in the world.

What I love about your channel is the real, practical guidance. As a new manager, these situations can be scary so to have an approach to follow is unbelievably helpful!

Hi there ! So glad to hear that this video resonated and it was exactly what you needed. Management can be scary but you shouldn’t have to do it alone. Glad my content makes you feel a little less alone in the journey.

Thank you for modeling these conversations, it’s really helpful. Also, as a Mindi, I am devastated to hear all my greatest fears confirmed. 😂😂😂

One of the most flabbergasting excuses was, "I didn't have pants and had to wait until the store opened to buy some. You don't want me to come to work without pants on, do you?" 😑

the hardest part is that results & achievement cant be your priority as the leader... the team has to be your priority and all you can do is try to create conditions for results & achievement...
