This reaffirms that I'm going in the right direction in my new director role. Due to staffing levels and other issues, I sometimes take on an IC role and it really grinds my gears. While designing systems, I've been delegating tasks and redesigning supervisor staff schedules to decrease my time spent in the IC role. While other directors have been coming down harshly on a new manager, I've chosen to work with her to both help her transition and teach her the best ways to assist me. Guess who is having fewer issues? Our client is constantly telling me to focus on my self-care, take time off, and leave early. She recently said my work and dedication speaks for itself. I must say: My job is the epitome of reaction, but when I get to operate in that fourth quadrant, it is quite lovely!!
I feel like I need a part 3 to this video. There were soo many gems in this video. Like I feel q1 & q2 need their own video b/c as a manager i can relate to so much of this
