his showcases are even better when he performs like 5 songs in a row and it's better than most of the worlds famous bands. Brez on a live stage is incredible

To think BreZ and Bizkit were the only two loopers in the top 8 to even have a full set of 6 rounds ready for the GBB... Rythmind only had 4 rounds because he was told it'd be a top 4. And he was the champion.

@@daveyee I don't like rhythminds strategy to play the most annoying songs everyone hates because they're overplayed so much. Like that tik tok song "oh no" and the thunderstruck song. For me it's an immediate loss because I hate those songs haha
When Scott Jackson introduces people he always says: "I say the three, you say the two and the one..." but he says the numbers in the native tongue of the beatboxer he is introducing. In this case French, as both Brez and Rythmind as French. I have learned how to say one, two and three in quite a few languages by watching GBB videos. :)
Also, after this event Brex and Rythmind made a video where they mixed both of their first rounds together. Said I was a man, and the Headshot remix. The video is called "Surprise Mother F******."
Yes, would be cool if they reacted to it next to the next GBB reaction as a "side note" reaction, is only a few minutes long.

YES! I knew y'all would dig the battle energy on this one :) . Brez saying "I have one, too" (a sequencer) was a BIG battle move. The MK I that Brez is on *doesn't* have a sequencer, he mimic'ed one manually by silent recording the sequence leading up to when he dropped it, so it looked like he had a sequencer (that's why the audio starts a fraction of a sec before the mic is in front of his face) . As for Rythmind's MK II, he actually won is it in another competition earlier that same year.
This battle remains controversial, fans, artists, and judges are still split on who they think won, but there is no animosity between these guys. Brez was rightfully salty about the situation (but still KILLED it), but Rhythmind answered him on it, and they still walked away friends.
SIDE NOTE: personally, I think Mirsa (France) is the best technical rapper in the Loopstation scene today, with Brez (France) not far behind. There are some staendouts that've really come to light recently, like Taco (Japan)

@MrozuCW yeah, Rythmind had said that came off harsher than intended, English isn't his first language. Regardless, Brez is there helping get the audience clapping for Rythmind's round after that. The battle stuff is for the crowd, these guys are all friends.
Yeah there were a ton of controversy this whole event tbh. Between that, Rythmind (the champ) being told it was going to be a Top 4, him and Chris TheOdian having to prepare two new rounds overnight _together_ for the small final, Bizkit facing Robin on round 1 instead of Brez because of a mistake behind the scenes, and that's just on the Loopstation part of GBB.
It might have been unfair but, it wound up being one hell of a battle. This will always be one of my favorites. You rarely see the judges so torn.

And in Brez's second track he was calling out Rhythmind because he had the MK II loopstation, because he won the previous years tournament and it hadn't been released yet. It had a lot more functions, channels, capability and memory than the previous equipment
MK 2 vs MK 1 debate started because of KBB21, the online loopstation event that happened earlier that year where all 8 competitors and 3 judges were given new loopstations as a way to both promote and test the equipment. It's still probably the best loopstation competition to this day. Rythmind however was only a judge and not a competitor who qualified to get it. Which completely nullifies his front because he was chosen to judge and did not try to qualify as a competitor to actually "win" it.

Ayyyy, loving the loopstation battles so glad you guys are liking them! I highly recommend bizkit vs Robin, it's such a mixture of styles but one of my favorite battles of all time!
Edit: Rythmind won last year's loopstation GBB and was awarded the RC 505 MK 2 which hadn't been released for this year's GBB. It has many more functions and capabilities than the MK 1 which is the standard loopstation, in fact it's almost twice the capabilities of the MK 1 which is why it was controversial for him to use to begin with.
That's not what happened
Rythmind got the mk2 because he judged KBB(Kickback battle) all participants and judges got a prototype og the mk 2 right before the gbb. Rythmind, inkie and Saro were judges, but rythmind were the only judge competing. Frosty, Robin, Kba, m-age, matej amongst others also had the mk 2 at gbb and used it.
They count down in the language of whichever beatboxer is ablut to perform. So for rhythmind, it was french. And brez also is french.

Bit of background info for you both, this competition was unfairly close in date to their earlier KBB event which was an online looping event.
The candidates who got trough to participate in the KBB event were all given the prototype MK2 of the Boss RC505, and that one has a sequencer that allows him much more control over the music. When the GBB happened nobody else had access to this device yet but the others had a few months of practise.
So brez saying that he has a sequencer to actually was a lie, he was doing that with skill to match Rythminds device, its why one of the judges raises their hand.
This mismanagement also had a different effect which you will see if you react to the rounds of Robin. Robins rounds are all composed for the KBB where he could take people to scenic locations and wrote songs specific for those. Getting to the final of that he had basically no time to prepare any new material for the GBB. So if his rounds seem slightly out of place its because he basically had an impossible deadline and composed his music to match a different format.
Agreed, though I will say without Robin's KBB, without giving any spoilers, we wouldn't have seen what happened in that room for Robin's 2nd round vs Bizkit. That was pure love in there.

I feel somewhat sorry for BP being held back in the past throughout his career, its inspiring watching him tbh, he talks about freestyle and beatbox and how he was obsessed in the past and told by others or himself to restrict that and do this do that instead. but now seeing him pursue them he seems happy in the content creation scene now, even making friends like him like the avengers, and artists like Ren being so close with him. dont sleep on this man he has the heart and the passion and hunger and he will continue to inspire others if someone as hopeless and self destructive as me sees this shit just from a reaction video lmao. just a comment that you should pursue your thoughts more often if it has a destination and is a positive thing

I was just in a shop this morning and trying to figure out the sample Rhytymind was using in the last one and shouted out Thunderstruck as in AC/DC rather loud. Reminds me of my raving days back in Sydney in 93/94
Wasn't even a sample, the rules say it needs to be vocals so that was still his voice but heavily processed.

I would love if you watched the entire Playlist from GBB21 but I assume that might be a lot with all the other videos you probably already planned to react to. But here you picked one of the best battles in GBB21 too and I'm so glad you reacted to it. BreZ should've won here in my opinion, but Rythmind did an amazing job as well. You gotta react to Frosty vs Rythmind at one point! Frostys second round is one of the greatest of all time
There was an online competition called the KBB, which had longer rounds than the gbb and the 8 people that qualified for it and the 3 judges all got MK2s, the MK2 has a sequencer that allows better control/layering of sounds and overall it has more power and more possibilities and thats why brez called it out and brez had been calling for a while to also separate 2nd device loopers from single device loopers, now in the next gbb this year theres 2 categories, the loop category where pretty much everyone will be using just MK2s and the Producer category which they can use as many devices as the rule set allows so that will not sound like they are looping at all lol
This is why they changed the rules and then added the producer class. That worked well this year

Rythmind was using a preprogrammed sequencer of the MKII so NO he didn't fairly win IMO. Brez for me was the clear winner.
