returnig after 22 years to this music..... i heard for the first time when i was 12 years old..... now i am 34 .... but brings tears to my eyes...... wow ..... just wowwwww...😍🤩🥰 thanks for the likes guys 😀
The Stage 1 music is so epic that I only heard it once at someone's house when I was 6 years old but it instantly got saved in my brain's playlist and 20 years later I found it again by chance on TH-cam! Such fond memories! One of the best OSTs ever!
It's said how little people know of this game, especially the soundtrack. This could have easily been as iconic as the Mega Man 2 and the original Mario for the NES, but it doesn't seem like it is. Well, hopefully everyone who watches this video understands how amazing the soundtrack is.
Took me about 34 years 😆, couldnt remember the name of this game for ages, just found it a few years back, wish I could still buy the eshop version for the 3ds 🫤
+Arcade Ninja my love for them started with one of my first gameboy color games and dat was power rangers time force and man i love many of there other games too.
alxxpspqr hehe...I did beat the final boss as well, yea, it wasn't easy. Liked the chain spear for its reach...like Scorpion..LOL. The last time I play this was...maybe almost 20 years ago? 30 now..hahahaha..wanna play it again :P
@@paulblart7378 In terms of technical hardware limitations for the NES on resolution, sample rate or a mono mix. The composers likely would have preferred those didn’t limit their work. We can fix that, we have the technology.
It’s those potent dynamic, almost syncopated melodies that feel like an original fusion of styles evoking multiple NES composers (Duck Tales, vs. Rockman, vs. Castlevania put in a blender).
I've been watching this video for like 3 years now, and every single time the 'Stage Start' make me feel so godly energical. Best NES game, deserves more love!
Having only played Shatterhand as a kid and not this game, it’s incredible to hear that another game had an OST that sounds so similar and incredible. You could switch the OSTs for each game and probably get the same feeling of awesomeness. I love it!
@Dennis Kaulisch Same as you. I wish found Shatterhand back in the day. Didn't know about it until I way passed my NES day. My kid self would have love to play it.
Good old days... I wish I could go back to them. Never managed to finish the game then, a decade later I completed it on PC with an emulator. This was the best game ever along with Goal3.
I was actually able to finish the damn thing before emulators. I took a lot of tries and getting the timing right, but it was worth it. Still, for anyone; Stage 4 is a giant stumbling block that will screw you over and over until you master it.
Agree man ! I completed goal 3 and kage both during 8 bit era only...ha ha was a mad gamer...but miss those times ! Also contra & mario nostalgia , many many games Of NES.
I loved the shit out of this game when I was young and you could play 2 player co-op. Shit blew my mind back in the day. Also hardest game ever, like ninja gaiden but bigger balls.
The greatest midi game music ever in my living experience. All this sound remind me about many years ago when I was a child. So much emotions that can't describe by word. This game's so awesome, and its music too. Thank you so much for your sharing.
Hmmm Stage 2....where ninja fighting ninja, and marble looking snake that so frustrating to beat, but this game soundtrack really make me want to play again.
I dont know why Natsume games and soundtracks were so underrated back in the day. The soundtrack is at par with the Ost’s of Konami games at that time (which were truly epic imho)
Natsume was not a big publisher back then compared to Konami. Also the music sounds similar because one of the guys who worked on this soundtrack actually worked for Konami Kukeiha Club before he joined Natsume in 89. Look up Iku Mizutani
I had this game on the 7 in 1 cartridge in the year 1999 and no one of my friends knew this game and no one had it. It seemed to me pretty weird that no one know this gem.
Ohhh my god..i cant beleive that this opening music is so damn good.i got goosebumps while writting this message...reallly too gooddddd.....Plsssssss...ahhhh what i sayy...i just cantttt
Some argue that Croc 2 on the GBC is below average. And yes, I know Croc is from Argonaut Games, but Natsume developed the GBC version. Also, all of the Natsume-developed Harvest Moon games pretty much miss the real reason why the Story of Seasons games (developed by the original developers, Marvelous Entertainment) are highly cherished by fans.
Let's pause to pay respect to the Composers - Iku Mizutani, Kouichi Yamanishi

I heard their talent immediately the first time I heard this OST on a speed run video and then listened to the OST, Duck Tales meets Castlevania.

Same here for garuda
要记得当时只有8bit,当时的技术,限制的作曲者的才能,32年以后再回去听这bgm,仍然完爆大多数游戏。

Holy shit... That opening is spine chilling. So good. I can't believe it took me this long to find this wonderful soundtrack.
Mutant1988 me too
I had blast of Dopamine in my brain , lot of chilling in spine bro
im 1986 , lol
1996 😌

It seems that all Natsume games are obscure, but the games are awesome and the music is always good
+Arcade Ninja my love for them started with one of my first gameboy color games and dat was power rangers time force and man i love many of there other games too.
lol. My love for Natsume started with S.C.A.T. for the NES. lol....scat (giggle giggle).
what was with the name change from final mission to scat? lol.
I don't know.....rofl
Gradian123 It's the closest u can git...to a Nintendo game called S.H.I.T.
05:17 3rd stage, the bass..... heavenly....
Most melodic and energetic boss fight music ever in video game history!
Yes is true, it's my favorite boss theme of all time.
The final boss theme gets me fired up everytime. It's what I always finish my workout with!
This game was a part of my childhood. I beat the game when I was 12 and I am now 30 and playing it again. Happy old days.

i just played it yesterday
Nostalgia overload. I remember playing this game in my school days. I still enjoy it to this day.
Stage 1 is probably one of the best nes tracks ive heard. Not many songs rival bucky'o hare on nes imo but this is sick.
One night when I was a child ,I played the best nes game .I missed the old days so much
00:01 opening

07:06 stage 4
08:10 stage 5

10:29 ending

Thnx
The ending from this game is the best 8-bit song I've ever heard!
was one of the best levels and boss fights too
great music dosen't need to play with expensive instuments, it can be on 8 bit nes device
True
and so every 8 bit console games????
The NES sound chip was only limited by the console hardware it was bound by.

The GOAT of NES ost. It's one of the most enjoyable NES titles, up there with mighty final fight.

My brother and I's fav game! We used to often play it. Soundtrack is amazing and so complete!
I played this with my brother in my childhood. Now I play this during the present with my son. Need to pass down the family tradition! Thumb Ninjas!🥷🏻

3 years? ...straight? Hot damn
@@turbochop3300 not 3 years straight, every now and then I come back to hear this classic
Yeah..Gimmick! Video Game Rock Band covers Kage's Opening. It's recorded well and it's live.
This soundtrack is so good. Hopefully the remake's soundtrack holds up.
I seldom shed tears to video games music.but man, that 10:29 was hard, really full of emotion...
everytime i heard it
Opening 3 tracks are mind blowing, we used to beatbox on these in childhood ... Gone are those beautiful days :)

One of the best soundtracks on the NES. Gets you really pumped.
Yup
There are 2 composers for this album. Iku Mizutani (水谷郁), Kouichi Yamanishi (山西浩一)
Interesting that Blue Shadow has three different names.
Was an epic soundtrack 30 years ago and is still, absolutely love it :)
“Kage”: (Blue Shadow of the Ninja)
all of natsume's games have best soundtracks. simply epic.
el soundtrack de Kage es simplemente una maravilla
Damn!! I found it!!! Nostalgia...I finished the game in one evening...still remember the music 25 years later.
Lmaooo I never could make it past that samurai
This game really had god tier music, also one of the best looking games back to NES times.
One of the most stylish gameplay and the music also says it so...
0:01: Title Theme
0:43: Game Start
2:41: Enemy Xadx Haidodo (Boss)
3:30: Enemy Defeated
9:47: Final Battle
10:29: Victory!
14:53: Game Over
One of the best soundtrack of the FC(NES) era. I couldn't beat the entire game when I was young, so I'm just here for the music.
The ending theme is peak.
The remake of this game came out recently, and now TH-cam recommends this to me, it must be a sign
i still love to listen this music even though 2019
Me still going on 😄
Nes soundtracks always reminds me of my childhood days. Its kind of amazing feeling of all the time.

Best soundtrack of any NES game , i stand on this
This game deserved more than 5 stages. 7 would have been nice, maybe even 8.
Музыка просто потрясающая !
shadow of the ninja赤影战士,是那个时代最好玩的游戏之一,
Natsume, The real god of Gaming Music
My childhood favourite game. best music ever
I loved the shit out of this game when I was young and you could play 2 player co-op. Shit blew my mind back in the day. Also hardest game ever, like ninja gaiden but bigger balls.
Es simplemente increíble la calidad de esta composición, incluso con canon y recursos que nadie imaginaba en un dispositivo de 8 bit.
Opening & Garuda theme so Epic!

Yea I'm having a hard time finding a better soundtrack. This is like some classic metal right here.
These songs are now like an image from an old memory!
These tracks full of guitar shredding moments 😊
Con esta musica da ganas de salir corriendo a toda velocidad😅😅😅😅😅
reminds me of those hot afternoons and i am trying to plug in the RF jack to my console and the mission starts, missing those times
My memory game song. My best ninja nes game ever.
Những năm đầu thập niên 90 tôi và thằng em họ hay chơi game này ở cư xá Lữ Gia gần trường đua Phú Thọ. Nhớ lắm tuổi thơ dữ dội!!!

Remind me of 1991 when I liked this game so much but can only watched my brothers played it cause I wasnt good with games like this and contra, etc...
This game is still very underrated, I'm not sure if this is on the Switch Online service but it damn well should be.
Hands down best nes game soundtracks!
Facts!!!
Natsume y su inconfundible sello musical ...era imposible no identificar sus acordes

If you keep on upgrading your sword powerup you can kill most of the enemies with ease.
Cool music. Miss the 90's nes games.
This feels really modern compared to even the Ninja Gaiden soundtracks. It sounds more like an arcade game than an NES game.
It recalls me about the day once was a kid and rushed to video game shop and known someone’s on which stage by hearing this godly soundtrack. Cry…

That boss and final boss BGM... I can't even forget them! And it's already 24 passed since the last time I play this game.... 🙄
