Dude, I just wanted to say thank you. You’ve taught me so much about beach fishing and I’m out all the time now catching fish thanks to you!! All the best to you and your family.
I am an audio-visual learner. I used to live and fish the Chesapeake Bay and NEVER PAID FOR FOOD! Now, I live on the west coast. Wedged between a beach and bay. I'm learning how to work these tricky devils. Thank you for all your information and outstanding shooting!
Thanks , my family is going to the beach and Ive never surf fished, been watching your TH-cam videos. Hope we can catch some fish. Thanks for showing me how.
When I was a kid my dad and uncle used to make us kids catch sand fleas for them. We had no idea they were using them for bait. It was just fun for us to catch them.
@@HeySkipper, yes I get my son and niece to catch them while fishing radio island here in NC, catch alot of puffers and croakers, but I let them keep the big ones to play with. Also a bit of salted anything keeps the little buggers on the hook. Love the channel and keep on catching man. Life is good. Hope you guys are staying safe , much love from NC and DE.
I could just watch you guys all day😁I know it sounds weird but a lot of times I watch just before bedtime the sound of the waves and just watching you guys fish is so peaceful it puts me to sleep❤️ I wish you guys had a reality show it would be just as good as the Chrisley’s😁
So in south Africa the first fish you caught we call a shad and its one of the best fish to eat And the second one is called a kob and they can grow really big
His second fish was a Drum, (as he said,) related to Cob in SA and Mulloway, -in Australia. USA, - Red & Black drums from shore. Freshwater Drum species in USA, some say not as nice as sw Drums. They all have large otoliths, - ear balancing stones! "sand fleas" are mole crabs! 🎣🐟🎣
I look forward to your weekly videos I learn something new each one. Hope to see Erin more in future videos it is good to see a woman into fishing like she is and it shows the young girls that they can do it too,and how fun it is. Thanks for all you do. And Tight Line's .
how i've always caught them is when a big wave recedes, it pulls the flees out of the sand, so as soon as the water is gone you see a bunch of holes where they burrowed, just pick up like a 2x2x4 inch hole near the wholes and you will find one. if you have a shovel just scoop up that bit of sand and throw it in a bucket, then do it with a bunch more holes and then sift it. they also make sand flee rakes which are pretty much just a crab trap with a stick on it and you pull it through the sand. these work well too.
awesome video! i personally prefer using baits that matches the enviornment like clams off the sandy beach is one. plus its so epic wen the target species and species gets hooked onto your hook so easily especially wen you use a specific bait which also helps to avoid unwanted species.
Lol, never heard about dead fish slapping technics to catch sand fleas, usually just doing hand digging technics 🤣 I will try it with dead fish next time. But I need to catch fish first to have dead fish. So, I will use digging technics first 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for videos. Wave sounds in your videos are really peaceful. I feel a breeze on my face and salty taste on my lips while watching your video. Can’t wait to get to OBX for summer break. 👍
Hello thank you for this new video once again really pleasant to watch. Could you please show the sabiki technique how it is practiced at sea because I find it enjoyable to practice on board like your dad does. Very good weekend ☺👍
Here's a tip for you guys on bait. I was station at Cherry Point NC when I was in the Marines and we use to fish off the piers down there. The best bait for bluefish is "bluefish"! No one else would be catching anything and we'd be pulling them in left and right! Just cut up your first bluefish and use him for bait. We use a fluorescent (orange and yellow) bottom rig and then put a strip of bluefish on each hook.... NON-STOP bluefish all night long, two on at the same time! It's like they go into a frenzy when they smell their own flesh!
@@HeySkipper barred surf perch and other perch varieties love the sand fleas, I fish with them on Morro Bay Strait beach , it’s the Central Valley of California, caught a few smelt , I’m guessing a striper bass might bite on em to. Your videos are great I really enjoy watching , you ever fish on California surf?
Great job love your post. Couple questions I’m looking at a 5000 size real using 20lb braid What color of braid would be best for Denton florida surf fishing? Also what weight of flora carbon and color for leader and how long? Thanks keep up the great job.
I used to do this when I was young, just hold the tail of the fish while its laying down the sand, those sand fleas will come to that fish guarantee 100%.

In California we have sand crabs. We use a net with the surf and move our feet to catch them in the net.
I never get tired of your videos, I honestly enjoy all your fishing experience and I get lots of information from it.

I enjoy watching I live in Texas, but alot of your techniques work on the Texas coast. Great job.

My girls use a beach sifter to catch them. Much easier🤙🏼

We don't have those sand fleas here in the UK but looking at hem, I can't help but feel that a bait band is the way to hook them.

Try blanching the sand fleas you can then freeze them and have bait ready plus they stay on the hook better
Friggin awesome how u can drive right up to fish and that bridge on the other videos
