It was in the news as I remember hearing about it. They even drained some canals looking for him and had searches.

There is no excuse for not issuing an amber alert within 30 minutes of not finding him. Unacceptable.

She told people in a recording not to waste their time looking for her own son. I heard everything. Brandi is hindering her own sons investigation. I listened to hours of space recordings ready to defend brandi and to my suprise these ladies are as so nice, no bullying nothing. Brandi herself is making fools of the public. As a neighbour if a child knocked on your door would you not ask questions as to why at his age he is without supervision
I live in an Apartment complex, and I saw a little girl out in the courtyard without an adult, I sent my 6 year old son over to talk to her and find out where her parents were. Come to find out she had snuck out of an apartment and made it all the way down the stairs and into the courtyard. When I knocked on the door that was wide open and baby gate ajar, no one answered. So I yelled into the apartment. Finally a Lady came out and scooped the kid up saying it was her sister's kid. No idea what that lady was doing or why she wasn't actually paying attention to the kid. But she could have easily walked out into the parking lot and been abducted. We live in AZ and that stuff happens a lot. I don't let my kids out of my sight. Ever.
My children would walk the street to playmates up to 5 doors away and even 1 court over at 5-7 these people trusted they lived in safe neighborhood. It’s soooo sad this has concerned. Heart wrenching hearing his moms plead
@@chacha-Ce83 unfortunately thanks to sick people with sick minds and every man for themselves attitudes we have lost that safe haven we could play for hours outside 1/2 a mile or more from home or go to the lake by ourselves, when I had kids I wouldn’t let them out of my sight. My kids are adults now and I still keep them on short strings they call me smother a title I’m glad to own. My heart melts for this family.
That neighbor whom Michael went and knocked - why did she send him off alone .rather then walking him back . That just bugged me from the first day it was aired ..

I LIVED IN REXBURG AT THAT TIME, have you ever been? The ground was frozen solid. Sometimes people wait till things are not like rock to dig, so as to not destroy evidence. They were on the case. The "public outcry", was not against our police, it was against AZ. I have known since the beginning that the kids were being looked for. It was in the papers and on the news ALL THE TIME, so if you think you made a difference, sorry, no. That case was on OUR radar, ALL ALONG. My father was native American he told me that our ancestors would attach bracelets made of shells to the babies ankles that made jingle sounds like little bells when they walked. So that they could hear them if they ran off plus it would scare off wild animals too. Sorry someone stole the baby.

I don't know why people haven't heard of this case. I became aware of it more than a month ago and I'm in Ireland. I check every day hoping both Michael and Summer have been found.

When Michael first went missing. The babysitter opened a Facebook group for him. She had made a few bizarre comments. One that's alarming that I can't get out of my head. She wrote ' I'm probably going to jail! ' But he was worth it! Come to find out she was at Michael Vaughan house that day. Why Did she need to babysitter if father was home ! Why doesn't the father speak out for his son? In my opinion the father , the grandfather and babysitter needs to be looked into. Who was really watching Michael that day? Father and babysitter changed baby's diaper and ordered pizza at the same time.

Your information is severely flawed. The babysitter made the stupid comment about going to jail because she kept discussing the case in the Facebook group after law enforcement told her to shut up and stay offline. The babysitter was in Nampa that day, not Fruitland, and was NOT at the home when Michael went missing. All 4 chikdren were there - Brandi's okder two from a previous marriage, Michael, and the toddler little sister. The babysitter was relaying information (from the mom and dad) and disclosing it to the online group secondhand, and she did a poor job of it. She explained things inaccurately and tried to make assumptions when answering questions. I'm sure she had the best intentions to help but it all went south really quick. This convoluted the case from the beginning, caused a lot of false and baseless "tips" to be sent to law enforcement, and it's really no surprise how quiet and close to the vest PD has kept this case ever since.
It seemed strange to me that his disappearance didn’t receive much coverage,,it was just days after summer wells went missing,,,it was reported and then just dropped of the radar ?

I get Amber alerts over children taken by a parent in a Custody battle but someone in Idaho didn't feel it necessary to send an Amber Alert when a 5 year old boy is missing! If ever there is a time this would be it. I don't know what's going on with the missing kids & nut jobs in Idaho but with there being so many perhaps it's time for LE & the courts there to get some extra training.

When Michael first went missing, there were SEVERAL people posting to local news station comments, many using their own names, stating that according to the people living close to the family, Michael's FATHER was behind whatever happened to him.
There needs to be a presumptive burden shift to the PARENTS, whenever children this age go missing and there is no witnessed abduction. I believe that much like Summer Wells and her MOTHER, the authorities know that Michael's FATHER is the one responsible. They just can't PROVE it absent a confession.

Remember the three girls found in Ohio in that crazy guys home? I use to blame the parents in these cases but now I really think twice. That being said...the dad is ACTING unemotional as someone who has no idea how to behave organically. I think he shows no parental love when holding his kids in other interviews. I think the alerts are pretty useless.
For any missing person regardless of age, they should immediately send out a photo and a message that says missing call police and I bet they would get way better results.
Ts done in such an inefficient way ...and on top of that they make you wait to even start an investigation a lot of the times.
