- David Allan Coe performs "Jack Daniels, If You Please" and "Divers Do It Deeper" live at the Farm Aid concert in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 18, 1994. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

John told the story of them drinking a lot of booze and thinkin' up the lines. That was entertaining. Then he sort of recalled it while singing it

I have seen DAC over 40 times in concert and never saw him drunk. Not sure if DAC would take the stage with you anyway prove it.

lol lets get this straight, I don't want to take the stage with DAC, been there done that and I don't know how I can prove what I have seen, guess its just my word but he's not all that, trust me I don't care how many times you have seen him but if you think he's great then more power to you, to each his own.

The man wrote some great songs...and irregardless of his personal controversies...musically his achievments are unassailable.

Last time I saw him a few years back he had a drummer but no bass player. He said on stage he hated bass players. Maybe he has mellowed on drummers in his old age? Had 3 guitar players a drummer and no bass player, he is a real piece of work for sure. lol
poor david, he needs to retire bad, saw him in midland texas and they booed him out of the ranch, he never was very good anyway.
