I asked him one day out if curiosity when was the moment that things kinda "ckicked" for him and he told me...it was all because of Mr. (Can't remember the teachers name but you get the point). He made me feel that someone actually wanted me to succeed for once instead of just telling me how much of an idiot and how bad a kid I was

Coach Goodman was that teacher man forgot what it was called In Texas but got basically ISS for about either 6 days was called something different dude was one of the best and most important people I have ever met and now spent damn near a whole day talking to me and the class and giving us important lesson about things going on in our lives.
I wish there are more teachers like this in my high school. I'll never forget the day I had an emotional breakdown in class (my hands were shaking, my nose was bleeding, and I couldn't stop crying) so I left to go for a walk, which was on my IEP. The one cool teacher ran into me and brought me into his class and talked with me till I calmed down. Then the VP came in and told me that my teacher called her to find me and give me a detention for leaving. Even though my desk was right in front of her so she saw me crying and bleeding but rather than step up like he did she didn't say anything and chose to punish me while I was hurting. The cool teacher tried to advocate for me with the VP but she didn't care either. So I went and did my detention and she didn't say a single word to me.....It was so dehumanizing.
Straight up sort made me sad abit too, I remember my middle school coordinator was cool like this. He’d back me and always encouraged me. Students go through enough, sometimes all they need is just some loving and genuinely caring words to lift their morale.
