What a brilliant idea of teaching 'Look' as a phrasal verb having several meanings through the story! That makes me understand and remember the words faster and easier.
Thank you everyone. My mother has left very big shoes to fill and we are all still learning the ropes and adjusting to life without her. But we’ll do our best to continue her legacy. Tom
That's a really good question, @rseanneparkeu. It was one of Vicki's favorite projects. Now that she's gone, we have to consider how it might work. This is Jay writing back to you. I will bring it up with the team and see if we can't get a 2023 SEVY awards show together. We could include a tribute to Vicki as part of the show. Thanks again for bringing it up. - Jay
This video is funny, but also sad. I have 2 guinea pigs, and this just makes me want to cry. Even so, I'm going to share it with my online students because it does such a good job.
Hollytree, I really appreciate your feelings on this. But, I'm also very glad you're going to share it with your students. I wanted to mention that we are starting a new live course with Tom. It focuses on improving English speaking skills. It's a 5 hour course, spread out over every Monday morning in April, starting April 1. The total for all 5 sessions is only 74.95 Euros. If you think your students might benefit from this, please share the link below so they can get started. www.simpleenglishvideos.com/assessment-form/. And thanks for watching and sharing our videos. - Jay
I want to make note that in American English, we will usually say "look down on," instead of "look down at." But the context helps, so don't worry if you can't remember which to use.
Thank you for your condolences. My mother died suddenly and unexpectedly from a cardiac arrest. It was shocking for all of us but please know that she didn’t suffer. 😢 Tom x
