    Thank you so much for recording these videos. I love your methodology, especially your illustrations, lol.
    Guess what? I'll be playing your video on causative 'have' and 'get' for my students on Monday morning. A difficult part of grammar for Spanish learners to understand and for teachers to explain; however, I can tell it will be quick and easy for them to grasp this type of passive voice construction this time.

    • @SimpleEnglishVideos
      @SimpleEnglishVideos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SimpleEnglishVideos. Thanks for answering my comment. It worked really well! It was very illustrative, especially Jay cleaning the floor for you, LOL. I gave them a worksheet with sentences in Spanish to translate into English using causatives 'have' and 'get' and nearly 100% got every right. So, it was a success!
      I am planning on using more of your videos. I am also sharing them with my students on their virtual classroom.

    One I know is up and running I learned it in sports. I think there’s another meaning for that, so like if the power goes out, then it gets fixed, then it’s up and running. I think you should do that one in another video because that’s a common one.

    Dear Vicki and Jay, as usual an enriching video lesson by you. Thank you very much for taking the time and efforts to come up with this kind of lucid lessons.
    I would like to know your take on the following word pairs. Which of these would you like to use? Also, could you please let me know which of these are now old fashioned?
    No more no less,
    Cheap and best,
    Salt and pepper,
    Sweet and sour,
    Greek and Latin,
    Tom Dick and Harry,

    • @SimpleEnglishVideos
      @SimpleEnglishVideos  ปีที่แล้ว

      'freaking' is used as a euphemism here for the more common and expressive swearword that also begins with 'f' and ends with 'k'. And 'rock it' well that means do a good job or have a good time.
