He´s so modest, I like that. I think the man who interviewed him was surprised by his reactions, especially about the immediate answer to whether it was his dream to sell abroad :D
Discovered Jonsi this week and all ive been listening to the entire time (Im on Spring Break, too!) is the We Bought a Zoo soundtrack... if you didnt know, it is literally ALL Jonsi.
i love him so much...!!!! i've always felt a strong, magnetic connection/pull towards iceland...that strengthened when i visited there 2 years ago! i feel like my connection with iceland is embedded deep inside of me, in my heart and soul. maybe i was there in a past life? maybe it's my true spiritual home? anyways i love iceland...jonsi included! he seems like such a genuine, sweet, shy, pure soul and human being. we'd get along very very well...we both are artists and love art and creating things from the very depths of our minds and hearts is in our blood.
He and Alex came to Austin 3 yrs ago. for his GO Tour. Incredible concert. They're a cute couple. Then SR came this yr. to a hall behind my neighborhood ;) I'm so grateful.
They probably seemed overrated to you at one time because you are from Iceland and hear them so much....however, to some, especially from the U.S., their sound is a different one that we don't hear every day. Glad that you have come to appreciate their talents. I personally like their free spirited sound. =)
Spent most of my life hating Sigur Ros. I'm Icelandic, and thought they were overrated. They are, but I've come to appreciate them. Brennisteinn is a very relaxing song.
They realy want to hear important bands say America is part of there dream. The term selfish is more appropriate in that context, if you ask me. I like a lot of american painters and some bands. But in Europe (to name just my area) a lot of people don't want to be part of the American culture..... Still America, isolated as they are to the rest of the world (and there culture) think everybody has an American dream. (Not all Americans, buts its a general idea that lots of people and countries pick up from America) .
the most pure hearted person.
true that
Do you know him ? Lol
why hating a band from your country? You should be proud. Their music is unique. Long life to Sigur Ros!
