Field battle strong enemy time stamps. 3:35 strong enemy minor. 1:27 strong enemy moderate. 5:45 strong enemy major. 7:45 strong enemy minor (hit SFX/cut to moderate). 11:22 strong enemy major (hit SFX). 14:21 strong enemy moderate (hit SFX and cut to major + cut to alternate ending + banger camp clear snippets). Hope dis useful. Wsp guys and gals, if you see that something has changed it’s just because further study showed me that the last time stamp is actually starting on minor then major then a new sound file I noticed that has a finally bit being different so I called it alternate. That’s all and there might be more changes if I find anything else.
Your welcome! I was actually baffled myself when I wanted to see if anyone uploaded the battle medley, they only placed the Easy, Middle, Middle to Easy (the transition), but not the hard. I was like, “I know it’s not heard that often, but still.
Thanks man! I am genuinely surprised myself, especially when I ran into a lot of issues when exporting and rendering this to YT. It paid off in the end though.
man, the composers did really heckin well with this track. i noticed that, not only does some parts of the song contain ganon's(?) theme motif, but also breath of the wild's motif in one of the string voices, i think that's what you call it. anyways, thanks for this!!
I always found something so silly about this theme, especially when you’re taking on easy enemies. Every time I take on a construct 1 or 2 the first version of the theme plays and I find something so humorous about hearing this soundtrack while seeing the construct spin his head and freak out while I’m still just standing there in front of it

Yeah, I’m really surprised that people have only uploaded the Easy, Middle, Middle to Easy (transition), but not the hard part. It’s so weird. It’s even used in the game itself, so it’s not like you don’t hear it. I uploaded this the day of release and I knew that Nintendo would use all parts.
Thank you! I was genuinely baffled when all the more popular uploads of this don’t have the entire Battle Medley in full, so yeah, I’m a bit salty lol.
I just stumbled upon your nice video here, after months of getting my Zelda battle music fix from completely manual playback of the sample files. It's clear you spent lots of time studying the game's own sequencer's patterns, it's interesting to see it visualized since some of the tracks do of course overlap, and not just switch from one to the next. Enjoyable to hear it perfectly matched together. I'm a little ashamed I didn't find your smooth visualized mix sooner :-)

@@mr.oscilloscope Awesome, looking forward to it Also, I noticed how dynamic the skydiving theme is, it seems to change alot depending on how close to the ground you are.
i'm definitely in the minority here but I like BotW's overworld battle theme more. The more repetitive nature of the song along with its emphasis on the brass and percussion are just great for setting a mood. The victory fanfare sound being a boxer knockout sound effect is just great. I don't like TotK's finisher fanfare as much. that being said, it's hard to deny just how much more impressive and grand this track is compared to BotW's. So much more transitions, instruments, phases, and ways to adapt to the current battle. I have been playing this game for over 100 hours now and some of the sections here I've simply never heard before. That's crazy.
That’s honestly fair, I actually like BOTW’s battle theme in terms of its parts, mostly because there are more variants of different parts, making it slightly more enjoyable and less repetitive (like you said) The fanfare for BOTW is nice, though I like TOTK’s more probably because it reminds me a bit of Wind Waker “successful hit” sounds. Overall, TOTK’s and BOTW’s battle theme generally feels more akin to a “hero struggling to survive a deadly situation.” And I like ‘em both.
I don’t know which one I prefer. Botw’s is a lot more intense, put-together, and epic. But TotK adds a lot more sounds to it, making the songs as a whole feel more unpredictable but very fitting given the situation you’re fighting in. I really like the part of Botw’s battle theme where the violins go crazy and switch between those two high notes, wish that returned.
Channels 2, 5, 7, 8, and 9, gives me Chills. Very Much Feels Like Masashi Hamauzu Music (but its not). Then When 4 Builds to 2 then 2 Switches to 8 then 8 to 9. The Eargasm!
The channels are just there to categorize the different segments in the battle theme. Like _Breath of the Wild,_ the difficulty and key numbers denote the arduity of the encounter (e.g., enemy types, how many are present, etc.) and its key signature respectively. Key 0 is in B minor, Key 2 is in G minor, and Key 3 is in Eb minor. EDIT: fixed italicization.
Could i get quick overview of how totk's music is laid out in terms of what's laid out in this way vs what's streamed (BotW too if you have that) cus this is really interesting to learn that so much of it is broken up into seperate files like from your community posts.
Late response, but I don't know actually. Up until I made this video, I only thought BOTW had it, with Twilight Princess doing smth similar with it's Hyrule Field Theme into Enemy theme.
The whole thing of having a main track fading into different versions is I think pretty common, but the level of depth this particular track has with key and instrument changes is I think much rarer - I think the game Pyre has something similar, actually, and several indie games go the whole way into adaptive music with the music being generated in real time inside the game instead of samples being played. Fez comes to mind for something like this. Of course, these are only the games I know personally - this is definitely not exhaustive.

I'm not completely sure I'm right but I'm pretty sure: Deconstruction is referring to the actual breakdown of the fight soundtrack from the files, as it isn't a direct soundtrack, it's made up of parts. These parts aren't just in one file, they are constructed in-game while you are in combat to reflect the various aspects of the fight (ex. difficulty). An Oscilloscope is the visualization on-screen. It shows various things like frequency and other sound stuff that I have not enough knowledge to give you an educated answer.
The BotW theme annoyed me. Too jumpy, zany but inconstant, it just made me mad. This one was an improvement for sure, it feels like it locks into a groove better even if the density changes and there are spaces. It feels a little bit more seriouus and oriented, so it manages to be truly exciting and fun without being ennervating.
Can’t lie, this is the only theme in totk I really don’t like. Botw’s battle theme was really amazing, but with this, it feels like they tried to remix it and failed

It also sounds very chaotic at some points. It makes sense though since they want you to build mech suits in this game
