    The biggest disgrace here is Catsburg's "team driving" in Race 2 (the first in this clip) to protect Norbert and Tarquini. Far too hard.

    No respect shown or "racing room" left by at least half of the drivers.

      race broadcast direction worldwide is pretty garbage. it's logo-centric. wide shots (for the billboards), angles which don't show distance, barely any on-board or trackside footage.

  • @LY1nx

    Priaulx deserved that dump. He was literally squeezing Michelisz out of the track everytime Michelisz is beside him.

    • @gosportjamie
      @gosportjamie 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're allowed to defend your position, it's up to the other driver to find a way past and NOT by serving the other car off the track for the second race in succession. At least this time Michelisz got his just desserts and put himself out of the race with a wrecked car...

    • @VeeFTeeS
      @VeeFTeeS 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gosportjamie yes, you're allowed to defend your position but you have to leave enough room for the driver next to you. Michelisz had to slow down and pull back behind Priaulx otherwise he would put him out of race. He is just dirty as the whole Muller's team is. Fits perfectly in it. At the end it turned out that non of the bump was Michelisz's fault.

    • @gosportjamie
      @gosportjamie 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VeeFTeeS You're allowed to put the overtaking car out of position if it isn't past a certain point on your vehicle. In saloon car racing it is generally taken that you actually have to have the front of your car in front of the other to be classed as having made the pass. Similarly, if you try to make a move on another car that ends in contact then whether or not it attracts sanction from the stewards depends on where the front of you car is when the contact is made. In saloon cars that point is usually taken as the B-pillar on the car you're making the move on, so if the front of your car is ahead of the B-pillar on the one you're trying to pass then it's fair bump and play on, if the front of your car is behind the B-pillar on the car you're trying to pass then you're probably going to get into trouble, not least because contact behind the B-pillar will usually result in the other vehicle spinning. At no point did Michelisz have the front of his car ahead of the front of Priaulx's so Andy was perfectly within his right to defend by putting Michelisz out of position. There was nothing dirty about it, Andy was well within the regulations as he almost always is, apart from when he screws up, in which case he's certainly not scared of admitting it. Andy is one of the cleanest drivers in any form of racing, which is part of the reason why his return to the BTCC didn't go as well as was expected. He was trying to be clean and neat in a championship where door handling is standard procedure, and he got mugged and duffed up because of it by people who weren't so careful. Don't forget, he was with BMW for a very long time and won 3 WTCC titles, and you don't get to stay with a top team like BMW for that long unless you have a whole lot to give them as there are probably 100 drivers each year vying to get that drive. As for Michelisz being judged to have done nothing wrong, that has more to do with the rule set than anything, in a lot of other championships he would have received penalties for those events, and in the BTCC, or ANY UK championship, he would very likely have had his race licence suspended for putting Monteiro into the wall like that, it was just stupid driving, it was easily avoidable and the result could have easily ended in serious injury or worse, particularly after the injuries Monteiro suffered in his testing crash in Spain as another serious head injury to a person who has already received a very serious head injury can easily have fatal results. But that's always been the problem with WTCC and WTCR, the people that write the rules seem to expect the drivers in it to stay within the lines without having the rules to tell them where the lines are. It's why, in latter years, the series have just been very expensive banger races with less rules. It's going to result in someone, and quite likely multiple people, getting killed unless the rules are changed to illustrate exactly where the lines of acceptability are. Hopefully someone will realise this and effect the changes before this happens, but it's often been the case that it takes deaths to effect safety changes and I fear it will do here. It's been perilously close to it several times over the last few years and it's only been luck that has stopped fatalities from happening, but luck runs out sooner or later...

      @VeeFTeeS 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gosportjamie B pillar? Michelisz was ahead of him at 40:53 and he moved toward him moments before so Michelisz had to move to right 40:50 (where he was already well passed the B pillar) and had to slow down as he was the only who could loose there. I don't know what you're about Tiago's crash as it was Bennani who pushed him out Michelisz wasn't even about. But if you meant Bennani I agree his license should be taken away for long time already.

    You wouldn't think it watching this...
    Bennani needs a serious penalty for that, in just about any other series a driver in that position would have backed off but he just kept pushing and served Monteiro into the wall. Just stupid. That Honda is probably done from that hit...

    congrats Lynk&Co = Cyan = Polestar = Volvo. Was it need to create a new brand with the name of a phone provider company ? i would prefer to see this car as Volvo S40 rather than this new no sense brand

    • @user-py5sy9lh5s
      @user-py5sy9lh5s 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      the reason why creating a new brand is that in the past few years people believe that chinese car is cheap and slow...
      and one company is trying to change that impression
      actually they made it
      they have made a car with 260hp(chinese factories never made a car with so much power before...lol)
      though part of the Tech is from Volvo...lol

    Why do we continually have commentators making apologies for `colourful` language? Who fucking cares? There is nothing wrong with emotion being displayed and it would be hard to control this sort of thing on live television. Surely people have got better things to be precious about than a few `choice` words!

    • @Yoshik379
      @Yoshik379 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe think outside the box a bit before you comment something ignorant...
      It's not the viewers that care, but the sponsors, partners etc.
      They pay big time and don't want their products being associated with certain "events" or "comments".
      Take Netflix's "bingeing" as an example; they are actively trying to get binge-culture disassociated with Netflix again because of the negative connotations.

    driving standards gone completely out the window. Track cutting to overtake all the time, divebombing, team mates smashing other teams off. Tracks that allow you to just run miles off track all the time.

      Ruca Solo As a whole, American vernacular and slang is becoming much more common in Britain now. Nothing against Americans, but it really gets on my nerves sometimes. Mind you, even at school as a kid some of our teachers said 'do the math' so it's obviously been around a while over here.
