      Ok so i have been brewing booch a while bow. And jun tea as well. I love sweet tea. Kombucha tastes nothing like sweet tea it tastes like a really good sparlking apple juice. So how would you describe the transformation of flavor? I am going to try this today nonetheless. Is it carbonated? I would like to add a small amount of cocoa, vanilla and a pinch of cinnamon and even less nutmeg. Does that sound good?
      P.s. do u have any videos on adding fruit to a first ferment? I have many different containers and brews so i understand i cant reuse the scoby or starter liquid from that batch ( but i can in the garden) I am wondering if it eill sort of carbonste during the first fermentation, as some batches do that a little bit anyway

      I have another video about 2 methods for making koffucha. Give it a watch. You can use the scoby or just use starter tea. I recommend starting out with just starter tea so it's not so much of a 'punch in the face'. haha. Hope you enjoy and have fun.

    I left the second batch too long...10 days...and it was heavily slimy! So i hated to throw it...and left it 30 days! It got back to Regular kombucha thin tea...but was a little more vinegar-y... so i added the molasses and it was GREAT!!! And caffeinated!!! Wow!

Because of this I like to swap out for a newer SCOBY for 5 or 6 batches. I hope this helps and thanks for watching. Hi Liz, had my first go at coffucha, really surprised after the first ferment, was a very unsual taste, great though, i made 4 litres and then added about 1/3 bottle of maple syrup and after 5 days, not much carbonation and it still tastes overly sweet, did i overdo the sugar? I'm thinking letting it ferment for longer will fix this?

    • @KombuchaLiz
      @KombuchaLiz  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Letting it ferment longer should lower the sugar. Maybe give it another week. Are you in a warmer climate? The warmer the climate the shorter the ferment. thank you for leaving the comment. @KombuchaLiz  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A SCOBY hotel is just a jar that you keep extra SCOBY's in. It's filled with SCOBY's and starter tea. Every few months you're required to add new sweet tea to keep the SCOBY's fed. So whenever you need a new SCOBY you'll always have one. I was thinking of doing a video on this. Thank you for asking.
