Man... there is no way I would have flow that beautiful jet in that wind. What a commitment to your viewers! Great job on the content this week. It was fun to watch, And great flying!
It measure time from one gps point to another. During a dive, even though your actual speed is faster, your time from one point to another is slower than moving horizontally. If that makes sense.
This has bugged me every time he says he isn't going to dive, if he was able to dive straight vertical at 300 mph it would read 0, so diving would not help at all.
That is one fine flying machine my friends. I love your show, keep up the great work. All the best wishes to all 3 rc sailors . Regards from Australia.
Massive respect to your your skills flying this jet. I am handicapped and can no longer use my hands. I just have a little Spark from DJI that I try to fly. Thank God for obstacle avoidance. Because I pretty much crash into everything. I just would like to say you guys are the best.
GPS can give you 3D position and velocities depending on the number of receivers (satellites received) with a limited number of receivers in the GPS speed meter you will get velocity (speed) in the horizontal. I served from 1986-1997 as a Navigation Electronics Technician on Submarines in the Navy. When I served GPS had a less accurate civilian component and a more accurate military signal which required cryptographic code to access. This policy was changed later to prevent civilian air line navigation errors like that which resulted in the shoot down of Flight KAL007 by Russia. Anyway , I learned not just how the GPS receiver worked but how the GPS constellations are kept accurate and updated. It was an awesome system to work on. The receiver I worked on was the size of a microwave oven and over the years I watched as GPS receivers become smaller and smaller. The satellite navigation receiver it replaced Was the size of a refrigerator with satellites only available at certain times because of their orbit (Transit system). Transit was a Navy system, GPS is Air Force operated but used by all branches of the military. And of course civilian sector. Sorry to ramble, just remembering my service time and how much has changed. Love the channel.
That's my FAVORITE of all your jets!! GREAT speed test!! Btw Nate's hair reminds me of Kramer on Seinfeld! 😂. Thanks Saylors for another AWESOME video and can't wait for next week!! 💟👍😘
I just left a comment on your other video, so I got my answer here. (104 mph) Have you tried to beat that yet. I got mine to 106 mph yesterday (video going 'public' soon) with I think room to spare and that was WITH SAFE on! I couldn't believe it! Another great vid! Best of luck and regards! -Dave
Awesome video! Love seeing these jets fly! You were exactly right. GPS meter measures distance and time with most likely an accelerometer and or gps signal. Vertical or angled motion registers less distance to the meter, imo. My wife and I love Bobs burgers!
I love your videos you are my favorite youtuber and I want to see Abby fly that jet, great job flying the jet in the wind when I fly I have to deal with 10 mph wind
At the 5:03 mark appears to be a UFO in the back ground to the left of your jet Excellent post just interesting video snippet because gone after that circle pass.

Was flying a Tower Hobby 40 trainer today in less wind than you were in. It was still bouncing around a bit and unfortunately had to land in a crosswind due to the nature of our field. Landing wasn't pretty but she is reasonably intact. My compliments to you on your flying in that wind. Especially a light foam jet! Good job!
I remember flying this plane for the 1st time it was fast really fast now days this is my slowest jet I have lol thank you for helping me and answering my questions when I was getting into jets
Great video, Just wanted to ask how the new smart charger handles the 6 Cell Lipo for this plane. Does it charge it in one hour out of box ? Or does it put it in a strain? Can it charge two 6 Cell batteries at once? Im on the fence about this charger and would like your feed back, thanks!
Great job you guys...!!! ;-) that wind was horrible...!!! great flying in those conditions...I also moved when you took off smh thought it was coming to me ... ;-)
Yeah, we just flew them together a couple days ago! This jet truly is awesome. It is a year old now and still flies like new. Probably one of my most flown RCs too 😁👍😎⚓
Little tip sailers high rates for jet grass isn't a good surface for takeoff but hey keep three quarter throttle as cruise speed don't fly excesvly hot day keep it up can you get 5 mind in ?
Question for Nate and Abby. I have 2 of the 70mm F-16 Thunderbirds and I CAN NOT get them to take off on our grass runway and our runway is cut golf course putting green short. How in the world are you doing it without your nose wheel collapsing on take offs or landings ? Thanks for the response guys. Love y'all's channel
I was looking for a nose gear pin for my incredibly under powered F-16 Thunderbird when I noticed the dreaded “Discontinued” black box in the right, upper corner on the Thunderbird jpeg. I thought this was a huge seller for HH. There was a time last year when I went to the field that there were multiple people with this EDF. The only person that had anything negative to say about it was me. (Top speed was like 50% throttle, hard to takeoff) The Thunderbird got shelved regardless when I got the Eflite a-10. Probably the best product Eflite ever produced. If it’s really discontinued I guess I’ll take better care of it, fix the nose gear and try a new esc, and or motor.
Hey Jeff! Glad to know you like your A-10 (we do too!) and sorry to hear that you aren't impressed with your Thunderbirds! It's still one of my favorite birds to fly, so I'm really surprised you don't like yours. Have you flown it without all of the missiles etc.. to gain some airspeed? Also, could possibly be the battery you are flying on? Anyways, this jet has received updated electronics which means they discontinued the older version. No worries at all about them dropping this one as a TON of people LOVE it! I panicked for a second when I read your comment and had to check for myself. Great flying in very windy 🌬🌬🌬 conditions. It looked way way windier than yesterday. I'd say the f 15 was more disadvantaged overall so non windy do over would be more speed conclusive. Just my opinion. 😁😁.⚓⚓👍👍🌬🧢🤭🤭⚓⚓.
You don't need to "look it up"... 8 kms is 5 miles. So 80 kmh is 50mph, 160 kmh is 100 mph, 168 kmh is 105 mph. Because: math. 😉 Divide by 8, multiply by 5...
Wind? What is that? I'm fortunate enough I guess, to live in an area where wind is banned, I didn't realize so many of you are affected by this wind? For future videos, may I suggest you guys not run so many fans in the background? Thanks, it makes it hard to hear with them running and creates a disturbance in the air velocity in your area. lol Great video.
Pahh! I've gotten over 100 mph out of an axn floater jet. All it took was after about a thousand landing for one wing to bight and snap off at the end of the wing brace reducing it to about half it's original length, get my knife out and trim it neatly then cut the other one the same, stick a 4S battery in, still use that same motor that came with it that's done a million flying hours with just a tiny drop of thin oil to the bearings about every 3rd or 4th flight, GPS logger on board and do the speed test runs directly crosswind and whala, one scarily twitchy 100 mph plus plane that only cost about $70 to begin with that I'd already had a million dollars worth of fun out of. REALLY had to severely reduce aileron throws because it could spin like a top with those same throws on the first flight without half the wings and other than that it was good to fly, although speed had to stay higher of course.
Sounds like a really fun RC adventure you had!! Thanks for sharing that. I'd definitely like to see that one in person in the air 😎 In our case, we were also having fun, and that's what this hobby is all about, isnt it ?! 👍⚓😃
@@TheRcSaylors You're absolutely right about having fun. That's all my little experiment and way of reviving and flying a very busted up AXN within minutes of the damage that I could have glued and strengthened, but that particular model had already been flown to death by me, I'd taught 3 different people to fly with it and any more extra weight in glues and things was going to ruin it's abilities anyway, so it was go silly time. It genuinely did do over 160kph though. I was using the original motor, and after trying a few others I'd gone back to it's original since new prop and whilst I did go up to a 40 amp speedy it was all still stock. When I clocked it with the GPS I'd smoothed a few lumps out, trimmed the vertical and horizontal stabs down a fair bit, maybe just a fraction too much on the vert stab since id sometimes showed a distinct tail wag, but it definitely did that on 4S with the original motor and prop. Sadly I only have the sound file of it passing at full throttle on here, man that little motor screams on 4S. I did make a point of keeping the speed runs shortish and long breaks of very gentle cruising in between to avoid frying the motor. Sorry, didn't mean to sound like I was knocking the one you're showing here, just bragging about how versatile those simple and versatile little AXNs are that I could turn a badly busted up one into an instant speed machine. Admittedly I didn't fly it on 4S that same day, it was after seeing how much quicker it was with the wings trimmed and especially how incredibly responsive it was to roll after cutting those wings down. It was incredibly sensitive till I turned the rates down.

For future videos, may I suggest you guys not run so many fans in the background? Thanks, it makes it hard to hear with them running and creates a disturbance in the air velocity in your area. lol
Great video.
I live on the east coast... wind is definitely problem for me
This jet could cut through the wind no problem 👍⚓😎
If you two are morning people , in most places the best chance for calm wind is at sunrise .
Lol Nate does look like Bob Ross.
pitot tube is missing, hmmmn
Hey guys, I love all your videos but please change the gps unit to mph. Lol
I don't think that GPS has that option.
I don't have wind
How is COPPA going to affect the channel please?? Will you lose notifications because you are a child friendly content channel and you need to declare if your content is for children or adults.. what are you going to flag as?
NICE JOB! Thats a cool size jet...sounded Awesome... Did that have safe installed? thanks
Oh yeah, in this wind SAFE 100% baby 👍⚓😎
Good
Enjoy that hair while you have it.😎
You should have wrapped it up inside..
We didnt realize the winds were going to pick up so much, and wanted to share with everyone how awesome this jet performs in so much wind. Our channel is about REAL RC Experiences, in the real world. We do not sugarcoat situations, as we arent here to advertise a product, but to show our actual experience with it. 👍⚓😎
