Was transferring flights at the start of COVID at the time, so it was pretty empty then with only a few of the shops/restaurants open(didn't even have the pet check in). China seems to be able to improve environment for both human, plants and animals despite sanctioned and blockage by the west for over 70 years. And those the technology the west would sell to China would be so expensive that it literally took 1 billion pairs of jeans to buy. i went there Dec 2023 & Jan 2024 and unless you are going for a domestic flight, you're stuck in a giant empty space except for like 33 shops and 1 hotel. I would not recomend this
