My girlfriend absolutely hates duck meat. Some how managed to get her to try Beijing peking duck when we visited there as a Beijing must do. Long story short, duck went from her most hated food to her favourite food ever in one bite!!!

Hello Ranger! 😀 My wife and I came to Beijing from Serbia. When we had planned this trip we watched this video. We said to each other there is no way to eat that soup. At our first day, our host recommended Hougos Restaurant and said to show this at the place: 豆汁，豌豆黄，驴打滚，炒肝 When we get the first dish...we have look at each other....OMG that smell...I think it can't be comparable with anything eatable. 😭😁 so, beside all that smell, the taste is also awful ... but one more experience in life! One wonderful thing aside from your different interesting food blogs is the fact that you can speak& converse in Chinese , Cantonese or etc dialect which is one of the most difficult to learn . Upcourse , they don't expect you to speak like a native but you really converse well too . Totally amazing , coz even top chefs like Bourdain who's as been to China , HK, Japan never tried to even utter the countries language .
The pancake dish which I forget the name of is my favourite. I use to eat that nearly every day for breakfast when I lived in Nanjing. The lady would add pickled chilli cabbage yum!

Chu chu asks really good questions e.g about the preparation and what makes it special. Sometimes i feel that u don't ask enough questions and only say things like "tai hao le" and "hao bang" but it doesnt help me understand the background and what makes the food special. i dont know if it the language barrier or what thats causing this
The noodle dish with the vegetables looked pretty simple, and tasty! The special sauce might be kind of difficult, but I'm sure there are recipes online.

learning a new language is difficult, but all of us know that only depends on how much effort you put on it i mean i can barely maintain a little conversation in english because i speak spanish but i'm starting to learn english. when i finished learning english in his 100% i will start with japanesse. wish me luck xd

One wonderful thing aside from your different interesting food blogs is the fact that you can speak& converse in Chinese , Cantonese or etc dialect which is one of the most difficult to learn . Upcourse , they don't expect you to speak like a native but you really converse well too . Totally amazing , coz even top chefs like Bourdain who's as been to China , HK, Japan never tried to even utter the countries language .

The pancake dish which I forget the name of is my favourite. I use to eat that nearly every day for breakfast when I lived in Nanjing. The lady would add pickled chilli cabbage yum!

Chu chu asks really good questions e.g about the preparation and what makes it special. Sometimes i feel that u don't ask enough questions and only say things like "tai hao le" and "hao bang" but it doesnt help me understand the background and what makes the food special. i dont know if it the language barrier or what thats causing this

The noodle dish with the vegetables looked pretty simple, and tasty! The special sauce might be kind of difficult, but I'm sure there are recipes online.
