@Baba Ganush It's cool to say things you and everyone around you like are "underrated". It makes you and those around you feel like you are "in" and others are "out", satisfying our social need for acceptance. Nevermind it's a complete and total misuse of the word. Humans are remarkably good at ignoring facts if it makes them feel better.

Nope bass is the worst instrument ever low sound doesnt need to a band , Guitar is the best instrument if you are a guitar player you are an intelligent person , if you are a bassist you are most likely a peasant who only pluck 1 string at a time .

@@nahshnahsuhe3547 Music without bass is flat. Do you know the song "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen? The entire focal point of the song is the amazing bass line. And bass isn't supposed to be in the forefront like guitar is. It's supposed to be the backbone of the music together with the drums. You are entitled to your own opinions about the instrument, but don't go saying it has no value in music.

It is said that a band is only as good as it’s drummer. Nobody has EVER said a band is only as good as it’s bassist. That being said, as a drummer who has played for over 40 years, I’ve always found that the better the bass player, the better music I was involved with. I would look forward to fill in gigs when I knew the bassist was solid. I’ve NEVER thought that about ANY guitarist. They ain’t back line so they don’t matter.

That's actually Nate Watts who has been with Stevie since the 70s and is the MD (Musical Director) for Stevie Wonder. Which means most of the arrangements you hear, Nate put that together. I'm not taking away from the creativity of Stevie whatsoever because he is a beast and legend in his own right. However Nate is the one who arranged the majority of Stevie's stuff and it always sucks for us as musicians on a recognition stand point. Yeah we get the royalties off whatever record we produced or played on (if your contract is setup that way) but there is always something special about being recognized for something great that you created/accomplished that money sometimes just can't replace. This isn't a negative comment, It's just musical history on who the other genius is behind a lot of Stevie Classics lol
