I love those pop up campers, they are the way to go. They better handling on the road. Especially in cross winds. And they setup in no time. Enjoy the trip to Alaska. I'm going in a couple of years

Truck campers are great, I've had 3 over the years and still have number 3. My first one was much like yours, which looks like you got a good deal. The extra room is wonderful when the weather gets wet. You should put a solar panel on the roof and add a couple batteries inside the camper. A real solar set up is so much better than a portable power station.

That's a very nice camper top for $1800 and it don't look shitty and pretty sure with time you will make it beautiful...I'm thinking to keep the top from blowing down in heavy wind you should be able to find some staps to put around the bars where it folds to lock them when the top is up ( or even ducktape in a heavy wind emergency)....Well stay safe and looking forword to more videos of you and Fado journey up to Alaska 😃
💌I stumbled across your video Just hit the subscribe button. You really inspired me I've been wanting to go out and build a top of the line build but I'm scared. I'm just nervous about the whole thing I already like TH-cam and making TH-cam videos but I want adventure in my life. I want to see the world travel again when I was in the military I enjoyed the traveling the most since COVID I haven't even gone on vacation. This video showed me that I can start off small I'm not afraid to make do. I looked at a nice build-out one but it was like 70k. I thought it was crazy to spend that kind of money all at once when you don't even know if this is going to pan out I'm scared to change my TH-cam channel over to doing something different wondering if the people that follow me now will still follow me or if it'll just be different and they'll lose interest. I love your channel. I hit the subscribe button can't wait to see more of your videos. Hopefully someday I'll be a part of a van life group It would be pretty cool. I sometimes wonder if it would be easier if I wasn't in a secure place. I feel like right now I kind of got it easy with life but I don't live an exciting life It's not the kind of life that I want to live anymore I'd rather start over sleep in the woods see things that I may never see if I just sit here and get old. I've done TH-cam videos where I've talked about it to my subscribers. And I've opened up to them and a lot of the older ones have told me get out and do it Don't just get old or you'll never do it. A lot of them have told me they live their life through other people's. Just like I do with you when I see your videos and shorts. I watch and say man I wish I was in her shoes. And it's kind of funny because I understand how people feel sometimes when they meet me I remember when someone asked me for an autograph one time it was so weird. And then when I watch you I say man that would be cool to meet her get her autograph and chit chat listen to your stories. Maybe someday. It's just hard to know where to start.

I'm hitting the road next year in a truck camper and the thought of trying to find some of the same spots you and other full timers find which, by the way are most always amazing seems daunting.
