I got my pixel 6 yesterday and I'm coming from the OnePlus 6t, I can honestly say this is by far the best phone I have ever owned. Very satisfied with my purchase!!!
@@motylosza1 yeah it takes about an hour and a half from 0-100 with Google's 30 watt charger. But with about 3 hours screen on time and listening to Spotify literally 10 hours of the day through ear buds I'm ending the day with no less then 55% so charging from 50% only takes about 35-40 minutes. Hope that helps!
For the ultrawide to struggle with night shots seems strange, considering Google's had years of experience perfecting night mode on with data from a 12MP sensor.
Because they had a perfect algorithm and process for the 12mp canera but this new sensor means they have to write the full software code from scratch so quality is sure to drop
It's generally good, it's only when light levels are extremely low it becomes a problem. It has f/2.2 aperture vs. primary's f/1.9, so it makes sense that it wouldn't draw in as much light.
Great review! Do you notice any green tint (or other color tint) at low brightness? I'm wanting to upgrade from my 4XL which has a bad green tint at low brightness (as most 4XL's do), which is pretty annoying, but thankfully isn't noticeable at mid-high brightness. This isn't a viewing angle issue, but affects the whole screen even when looking straight on. I don't think I'll bother if it has the same issue.

Hey, I recently got the pixel 6 and the display has been bugging me. The white levels when there is a white background seem to have a yellowish tint to it, it doesn't look pure white to me. The colours just seem slightly off due to it. I'm coming from a OnePlus 3 and I can tell the saturation levels of the OP3 is much higher but the white colours on the Pixel 6 display looking yellowish makes me think i have a faulty display.

Just one comment on the Magic Eraser is that it's actually still in "beta" so Google is still working on improving the abilities and I'm sure it will get even better once the final software update is released. But you have to admit that it's pretty awesome already on some of the thing it's able to do! Wow!

I would like to think it's all about me but they have moved my release date twice and even though i ordered on release day i'm not getting it until Nov 3-4. They originally quoted me Oct 27-28. They clearly don't give a shit about "you" or getting their products out on time.
I suppose to get it at 1november according to purchase confirmation email but now it's showing me delivery 14-16november. 2 weeks later! I ring them and the only thing they have to say is they didn't expect so many orders so that's the reason for longer delivery time.😤
Same thing happened to me. I ordered day 1 during the keynote. I was originally told to expect delivery on the 26th - 28th of Oct. Then it got pushed back to the 15th of November and then the 10th. It arrived Nov 4th. The messed up thing is they were about to cancel my order. I watched the money get taken out on the 19th of Oct. Then they sent the money back and said it was a processing issue. Luckily I caught it. There wasn't even an issue the money was clearly there. I have no clue what was going on.
Probably not, as most of the videos I've seen comparing the Pixel 6 Pro to the iPhone 13 Pro Max tend to show that the iPhone's camera (at least video) is still a little better than the Pixel's. The Pixel sure is incredible for its price point though! And it really isn't far off from being the best camera!

Seems like Google still has work to do in certain areas but they improved in certain things. They are still new when it comes to doing hardware. "They said this is the first true Google flagship. So I don't think they would knock it out the park properly in one shot. At least they are taking it alot more seriously now. They are in a step in the right direction. Just from pixel 5's video quality vs the pixel 6 series.
The lack of a 512Gb storage option in the UK and no secure screen unlock (I have never been able to use a fingerprint sensor on any device or laptop - I just don't seem to have the prints for it!) are absolute deal-breakers for me. It's a big disappointment. Perhaps those options/features will be folded in later?...
I pre ordered the 6, they give you $370 for the 5... So the 6 only costs you 230. When you factor in the fact they throw in $99 pixel buds for free....... Absolute no brainer. Oh yeah, Spigen case $13 and tax on phone
It's a bit early to upgrade from the pixel 5. Pixel 6 overall is only slightly better in some areas from the pixel 5. I would say say hold off until next year. For older phones like pixel 3 and down including pixel 3 and 4 A's..it's definitely worth the upgrade.

I need to correct you on one thing, when you asy "unlike previous camera version it is not biased to white skin", but that is not true due to reality and physics. A camera register light and if you take a heap of photos and take an average lighting value from those you will end up with something that is 18 to 20 % gray, that is what a camera often use as a standard exposure value, it is therefore easier to take a picture of a gray cat (or pale skin) than it is to take a photo of a black cat (or darker skin). The camera work with RGB and when you make a palette you have to select an area of the wide RGB spectrum that your screen can display, this is often called standard RGB, this put priority on the center of the spectrum called "White Point", so lighter object (including humans) are just by nature closer to that point, and there is no "brown" color in light, what we see as brown is just same skin tone that reflect less light, so what Google Pixel 6 do is help folk correct the exposure value when take photos of darker environments, objects and humans. There was one time when Kodak did try to make analog film to capture skintones better under tungsten light, this could make folk look yellow/orange with a tint of green/blue, that test did not result in anything and today folk in the movie industry is using orange/blue as a colograding to make it look nice, but the rumors that Kodak did try to make a film that made white people to look better is still hanging around as "Photography is racist". No, Google Pixel 6 help folk adjust the exposure value and then use AI to remove noise from use a higher ISO value, but a camera is still just an instrument to register light and not to evaluate skin tones.
All due respect...this is not an Android 12 review...those of us that don't use iPhones have been using it for 6 months already. Wanted a phone review :).
