Honestly if the knocks are this level of quality, I feel no difference in getting it for a cheaper price. Remember, the only reason why regular figures are more expensive are because of license.
Ya it's crazy how close they are getting to the reals. But there are a lot of people that are ok with fakes cause they open them an display them. I've always been a in the Package collector. That's why I've always wanted authentic.

I recently ordered a Scar Concrete jungle predator created after the Xbox video game. I was very excited at the moment until I opened up the package. The first thing I seen was that the head was completely separated from the figure itself. Second is the paint job was done horribly and there was also paint marks on the display box itself. The thing that interests and fascinates means the most is the paint jobs that these figures have. I’m thinking about keeping it but I am also in the process of returning it. The seller lags to give feedback so we’ll see what happens. I just hope if i keep the figure it won’t fall and break apart very easily. There may be some decent fakes but it’s rare that you’ll find a good one.
Honestly the bootleg ines are made better than neca,ive got 2 bootlegs,no problems,EVERY NECA I HAVE EVER BOUGHT ,BESIDES 2 I NEEDED TO GLUE SOMETHING,OR FIX SOMETHING!!!!!

I think that they are starting to pay more attention to the boxes and packaging but the toys always have flaws. Another awesome video it's awesome that you are bringing this to light because a lot of people including myself did not know they make fakes:)
Great review! Maybe these tips will help too. On fakes, sculpts area not defined and detailed. Most often, paint is dull, flat and wrong shades (ie: dark orange/rust vs a bright orange). We all know Neca is infamous for loose joints. But, most often in the legs/hips. My experience, KOs are covered with lose joints. One of the biggest tells of a KO is the paint detailing. KO’s will not have shading, markings, dots, etc in the same places. For example, if a real figure has 3 dots directly above his inside elbow joint, the fakes will probably not have the same. Ohhh, and if you can see them, always check the locks on the dreads. They will always be a dull paint color or have very minuscule look of metallic paint. I’ve been told too, some fakes will use *real* Neca parts. So you have to look over the whole thing to be sure. On the older figures, you can easily tell by the box. on the front where the big word “PREDATOR” is, the real one is big red letters with white striping on top of black ones below. Fakes always have big red letters but, will have black lines over white. It’s gotten to where I flat out ask sellers, “where’s the photos of the real figure you’re selling. Your stock photos are deceiving. Send real pictures”. There’s a number of honest sellers who don’t realize they are selling a KO. And, many, many times, they’re photos are very dark to see details. I ask them to take photos outside (not in direct sun). That’s helped me weed out KOs too. Funny - I purchased a KO that was so bad I couldn’t resist it. Not only did it have paint drips, but his front was glossy and the back was flat and funniest of all, his right leg was put on backwards (his sword sheath was on the inside of his leg). LOL!! Well, thanks again for sharing your video. It’s great! The more info on KOs we can give, the better!

. The sculpts are the same generally. They use the official neca molds for almost every neca bootleg; probably stolen from the factory itself or laser cast or something.
The only times sculpts are different are when they take a sculpt from another neca instead; like they did with the bootleg isolation aliens early on to match the arms.

I want to buy the scout Predator and it's available in a local store. How do I know if a Predator is an original or a fake before I buy it?
The inside box is off knockoff,he's not that bad he make great fodder body or repaint I thought about getting cheap knock just do insane version emissary two,one I'll point neca did reupdate fugitive when they released him his tones much dark more glossy especially with his bio. You should do a real vs fake Borg or hornhead there's tons knock off especially lost tribe. Great view love your content! Keep up good work!
Thanks for doing these vids. I've only ever bought my neca figures from major retailers but know that every single Neca release gets knocked off (and knocked off extremely well aside from the batman and superman releases)so it's cool to see what to look out for.
Ya the newer ones are very hard to tell the difference between the fake and the real and thats why I havent really made any of the newer figures
@@TheCollectionDimension definitely. I should've also mentioned in my comment that its really any figure with a human face that they tend to have a hard time knocking off. Someone gave me a fake Dutch and his eyes were basically black dots that made him look cross eyed and too much color on his lips which make it look like he was wearing lipstick. They do a great job knocking off the sculpt itself so just like with a genuine neca figure, repainting reveal face sculpts on par and sometimes better than a lot of 1\6 scale figures

Slight variations in paint and also there is a slight difference in size
I saw a broken strap on the back of the left leg the top strap which has been glued on which is why the thigh armour is non removable on the ko

Depends on where you live. Target, some walmarts, gamestops and some other big stores carry authentic. If you buy online bigbadtoystore is nice. Buying on Ebay make sure you stay away from anything from China. Neca has a Ebay and amazon store also

Yeah, the corners on the legit are cut diagonal while the fake has round corners

Well hey I’m a open box collector and all mine are authentic but yeah I buy then to this day to open them to display them nd buying fake ones I mean if you were who cares your just saving more money especially for the avp line but do what you want I love my predator army I always loved displaying them and actually holding the figure and seeing all the close up detail I’m not to thrilled about leaving them in the package especially when I’m not going to resell my figures
And fakes some come from the same factory I mean that’s why there so spot on but again there fake they have to be a little different but yet do what you want with them I want to get a nice glass case for them all
Noticed the shoulder cannon support is different one looks like a horseshoe one looks like a bike chain.
Looks like the real one did more pushups too.

04:25 I just noticed on this one that the KO is now using the silver wire thingy to hold it in place, though badly and not secure.
It's kinda alarming (for me, at least) since the first and surest way to tell the KO Ultimates from the real ones are the wires used to secure them. Most KOs, like in the Ultimate Jungle Hunter video previously covered, and KO City Hunter I saw online, had black wires. Seems the bootlegs are getting good and starting to acquire similar materials in their figures in the hopes of passing them for the real thing...
The borders are completely different on the insides the real ones more edged the fakes more circular
Do you have any comparison shots of a real and fake Predator 2018 Emissary 2? I worry mine is fake sometimes because of some gloss bleeding. Though it could be manufacturing error.

Mine is different, the tape is a round not scuare and the blades in the package are even next to the other not like yours and im pretty sure that mine is real. Thx for the video

I found what I think is a Neca retro clothed fake of 8" Freddy Krueger with a four green stripes sweater. on Ebay. I bought it after it was to late. Can you confirm it. Thanks!!
From what I've seen the only clothed fake necas have been Chucky, Megadeth, and the Nun. There might be more an they will make more of the newer ones that are coming out. The only Freddy clothed fake is the Mezco one 12 that is coming out this year

With Predator figures, knockoffs are just too obvious difference in quality, unlike with a figure with less paint, like Michael Myers or something like that.

Now that is good if i bought one of these on ebay or amazon i could know if it's a knock off or a real and what happened to your voice in the story you were ok your energy up and then when you compared the side of their heads you are became super sleepy it's like a man i don't want to do this review anymore it's like that that's my example but do more fake or real videos so me and other people will know the real thing

They both look fake to me, I always look at the handle on the top, if it's clear plastic instead of a cardboard handle, then it's fake, both boxes in this video have a clear handle, the paint job on both are really bad, sorry but they are both fake.

My KO is way worse than this on the video. Very dull colour, matt paint, shoulder cannon fell off etc.
That sucks when you come across those. Did you contact the company you bought them from and say that it is fake you want a refund an send them pics if you recently bought it
