    Original Westside Crips, Bobby Crear aka Big Bob The Hawk and Judson Bacot talk about being railroaded in their 1st degree murder trial. In 1972, they went on trial with 2 other Westside Crips for the murder of Robert Ballou, who was beat-up after his friend, Charles Alexander was robbed for his leather coat. Guess which future famous attorney was checking out the trial of Bob & Judson back in 1973 when they went on trial?

    That's so sad that that young man Robert Ballou was murdered. If we believe these two guys then they didn't do it and the young man ran into the group of Crips and they beat him to death. Regardless of who killed the young man, he's dead and it's sad. Been dead for 47 years and all he did was want to go to a concert. Sad for his family too. Wonder if his parents are still alive now? Maybe they are maybe in their 80s.

    Man, that's crazy: Bacot said he doesn't have no OGs - he IS the OG. That's powerful. Wish the Community Revolution In Progress would go back to that first C but it seems forever broken now... Respect.

    I grew up in Pomona,Ca, 25 miles east of L.A......In high school in the early 70's. Had me a grey waist length leather coat. All we wore was leather coats, kakis and levis and you had to have a pair of croca-saks from Zodys. First crip gang started in P-town around 75 or 76 on the westside....called themselves the357 Block Crips which later became just Tray-five-Seven.

    • @bigbaba4542
      @bigbaba4542 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thechamp818dst supposedly richard miles younger relatives who were never anti-crips started that and Richard miles himself never turned crip, he was already done with the gang life at that point. I don't know how true it is but it sounds more plausible then an anti crip starting a crip set in a small town outside of LA

    • @robocop207
      @robocop207 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Actually the first gang on the west side (sin town) was called the cobras, Herby Douglas, Peter Wilson, Tim Casey...etc. They didn't last too long and after that came the 357. I grew up on that side of town and never heard of Richard Miles.

    At the end when they speak on who Tookie was to them... that right there speaks volumes on who these guys really are. The man who every banger looks up to as a gangbang 'god' so to speak, is their LIL homie. lol You cant get anymore original than that!

      Jersey Mac these cats are older....if you grew up in the hood who do you look up to...the older cats...it’s not like you came out the pussy banging bruh...these guys are from the precripping era...they might not be the founders but for Raymond Washington and his boys to come on over from the east to fight these guys you know they was someone to be reckoned with...

    If the net result of gang life is DEATH OR JAIL, why join? Mind you, I say this because I want a different outcome for young black and latino males. This lifestyle is a deathstyle. If you are a young gang member, reading this, I hope you take this to heart: your life is worth something, you are special, and capable of great things. If we can make it out of slavery, you can make it out of gang life. Go to school & May God bless you.

    These OG's are right about people not knowing what it's truly like until you are actually facing 10 or 20 to life. I've been there and it aint no joke. On a Fed case for drug conspiracy. I was facing a mandatory minimum of 10 to LIFE. But because I had a prior felony that I did two years for prior to this, I was facing 20 to life because of an enhancement for the prior. I saw no hope and I took my case to trial. All my Homies SNITCHED on me. They ALL testified at my trial and got sweet deals off my back. I hired a boss attorney who happened to get me a hung jury. If you don't know, it's almost impossible to win a case or get a hung jury in a Fed case. They have a 97% conviction rate, no lie. But instead of taking the risk again, I plead out and took the 10. And when I say 10, I mean 10. You have to do 85% on Fed time but you only get credit for the year AFTER the year is complete. So I had to do almost the whole 10. After that, I did 5 years probation after I got back home to Cali (Tha Bay). And they make it real easy to go back on a violation too. They put me in a half way house at 111 Turk St in the Tenderloin district, downtown SF. Right in the heart of the hood. I would sit in the window of my room and watch all the vice and violence going down everywhere around me. Saw some shootings, much prostitution, drug dealing open 24/7. I could tell from past experience who was doing what and what local mini marts were laundering the little corner boys money. Came back from a visit with my wife once. Stopped at a corner store to get a soda. When I came out I saw a robbery in progress. A couple goons had another fool held at gunpoint about 15 feet from me. Had to put my wife on the other side of my body in case they got to poppin off. They locked eyes with me and I knew they would have killed that dude if we had not stepped outside at that moment. I thought for a min that they would kill us all to leave no witnesses. I got my wife in the charger quick as I could and got outta there, back to the halfway house. Shit out there aint no joke. People need to be aware that the game is fucked up now. Everybody snitching, Feds handing out life sentences for drugs. I did 12 years total not including county time. About the same amount of time these OG Crips did for murder.

    These two guys say they didn't have anything to do with the Ballou killing, okay. Maybe true. Regardless of whether true or not it's interesting someone can be convicted of murder and get out eventually and live their lives. Interesting some people get life without parole and some get paroled.
