Batch crop images using Irfanview

Using Irfanview, a free image editing tool for Windows, you can batch crop several images quickly and efficiently. You can also batch resize them, sharpen and a host of other options while you're at it. It's a very powerful tool. Best part? It's free.

Can I say you are a legend. I have been trying to do a time lapse edit with a large number of photos all in 4:3 format now I can accurately stretch them all to 16:9 and know they will all be the same . Thank you

There is an easier way to get the crop start point and size. When you select the area you want to crop, take a look at the top of the window (above the File, Edit, etc toolbar). It will tell you what the co-ordinates (Xpos, Ypos, width x height) are for your selection: note this down and use them as values for the crop.

Thanks, works in currentyear. I think it requires launching as admin.
Now there is a "get current set" button when choosing image size. You can just select the part you want to crop then press it, so you don't need to mess with numbers.

This is awesome. I was JUST looking at this, as my FRAPS captured excess black areas around some footage, and I had hundreds of screencaps to fix. With this, it took 6 minutes (5.5 of it watching the video) XD

This is so completed, im using Microsoft Image Editor that came with Microsoft Office to achive all this. Much simpler. Or even photoscape
