Going through True Area 53 with Super Sonic. This is unlocked once you collect the Chaos Emeralds with Sonic and beat the game with the rest of the characters.
Was great to play this game over after so many years, especially with getting all of the special rings for the first time legit (Used Action Replay years ago).

I just love how caring sonic is towards his friends especially with cream over how much she’s crying after her mother got taken by eggman.
Sonic turns super as a way of saying to cream that he’ll make sure he gets her mother back to cream safe and sound
I like how Sonic goes super right after he sees Cream crying. It's actually really sweet of him. He likely would have done it either way but still.
Sonic doesn't want to hurt anyone, but after they've hurt those he cares about that goes out the window.
Yeah you can tell he was fucking pissed that Eggman made cream cry

do you even get super sonic for getting the emeralds? I was able to unlock hyper sonic in Sonic 3&K no sweat, but I can't even get the first chaos emerald in sonic advance 2
@@musictorin The first chaos emerald took me a while, even failed the special stage a few times, but its definitely possible to get it. The emeralds in later zones like Sky Zone? CANCER. Still havent collected them all yet lol

just cheat and play the boss and enjoy it. This game easily has the worst system for it.
It'd honestly be fine if the rings stayed collected forever, like the chao.

One thing I liked about the Advance series is how subtle yet effective it is at establishing the characters at their core personality. Everything about this ending felt kind of shonen with Sonic going Super the moment Cream cried and that intense cutscene with Sonic saving Vanilla.

I wish I was good enough to get the emeralds in this game when I was younger. The Sonic Advance series are good games but have annoying ways of getting the Emeralds.

Advance 1 is the most annoying
Advance 2 at least had very easy special stages once you memorized the location of the 7 special rings in each zone. Advance 1's emeralds was annoying, but at least you can quickly retry them in most cases. Advance 3's was the worst by far, though. Having to jump thru so many hoops to unlock the special stages AND they were really difficult to boot.
At least Advance 1 was one and done.

I love the opening scene cuz it shows sonic’s character perfectly, he’s known in modern games for doing what he thinks is right (eg: black night) so when he sees Cream break down at the kidnapping of her mother, it’s obvious that It would also drive Sonic to his point of “thats it ive had enough!”. Basically never hurt a kid while sonic is around, mentally or physically, he will fuck you up!

Great game. I really like the part where Sonic said “It’s advancin’ time!” And then he advanced through all those stages and *all those eggmans robot!* Truly one of the games of all time

Anyone notice how Sonic was initially gonna just tank damage from space carrying the pod if it didn't just burst? He's real for that considering it could've killed him, considering the force from the pod breaking alone broke the super state.
All the more reason he went Super, to tank all those damage and save Cream's mom.

I remember when I got this about a decade and a half ago and unlocked this with just practice and skill alone. Was totally worth it to show off when I did so.
Every time I see that ending animation when Sonic is running towards the horizon. I would always assume that he's running because he knows that the player unlocked Amy.

This has to be the most badass transformation sequence ever; The suspenseful music, the burst of energy and closeup upon transforming, the actual flickering of light on Cream along with the reassuring thumbs up makes this perfect!
This one's got to be my favourite Doomsday Zone-esque zone in the franchise.

I like that it’s shorter. It’s just like, DONT YOU DARE MAKE HER CRY. And then he just goes up there and sucker punches him in the face for 2 minutes and gets vanilla back.

Great Job with this run, Cyberman65! I think I will go and pick up this game and give it a go again. I don't blame you for using the Action Replay, because I did that too, a few years ago, because I couldn't find all the special rings. I still love this ending to this game. I wish sega would bring back Vanilla and put her in 3D sonic game's with cream as a support role. I really miss her.

One thing i don't understand is how Eggman's mech is able to even affect Super Sonic without anything that infuses it with Chaos Energy for example the Master Emerald
I'm told that it's because Eggman, after years of losing to Super Sonic, has studied the form in general and is slowly but surely figuring out ways of countering it or getting past the form's "invincibility". Hell, if Knuckles can Shoryuken the Super out of Super Sonic, I'll buy anything that they throw at me.
Shadow's Wrath Yeah, but Knuckles is the guardian of the master emerald after all, so he probably has some kind of power from it or something.

That ending scene was intense.
I'm gonna throw this one out there and say, perhaps rings are like storages of power. Since sonic has consumed alot of them, he can survive even falling from space. Prehaps that was why it was a problem for the mother to fall on her own in difference to Sonic. He did lose his super form but it never stated that was because rings. I dunno, tryna make sense of nonsensical shit is hard.

There was no pause button so I had to take a mental picture of it through looking at it countless times by restarting the game and going back to the level. I hope I’m not alone in that
